Small wisdoms that make a difference in your life

Was there anything that someone told you in your life, a simple sentence or a story that effected your life or that you gladly share with others to make their life better. For me one of those precious wisdoms that my father shared on me is rather simple. We were a middle class family and my father once told me that he is very rich (and not just emotionally): he said as long as I can go out and buy myself beer and as long as I can stop in a restaurant by the road if I am hungry I am really rich. This totally stopped my constant moaning on how I never have money since I realized that for those two things I always manage :) What are your precious simple wisdoms?

My mom once told me that even though some little wisdom that could affect us a lot. Therefore, sometimes we need to think about it before we do something. No matter a word or a phrase. It indeed play a very important role in our life.My simple wisdom is that ,smile is the best connection between you and other people. So,just be nice and people will like you.Cheers.

Small wisdoms? I got mine from my father too. Ever since we were young, when me and my bros or sis got into a fight, my father would always tell us the same thing over and over "Don't fight each other, when you get old..you'll only have each other to turn to when I'm gone". End of fight. I am keeping that with me and sharing it to someone who needs one. :)

This wisdom probably is the most true. Family will always be family.

I think that one of the best things that I have ever been told in my life is that you have to work hard for the things that you want, and also that you shouldn't assume that things will come easily to you. The best things in life will take a lot of effort and time to get, and you should learn that as soon as you possibly can. I am hoping to buy a few properties in the next decade or so, and I have learned that it is going to take me a long time to be able to do this. But, I am prepared to work very hard for it and I know that I will be able to succeed if I try hard enough in my life and work.

Good ones, not only is it true that good things need time and you have to work hard to get them, thinking otherwise only brings you despair and disappointment.

I think the best thing that I have in my life is from many people around me. I get inspiration from my friends. I have learned to conquer the fear. Also there is a difference between the courage and craziness. It all comes from my friends. I didn't knew how to swim and I was scared of the water but one day friends made me swim in the river. They saved me from getting drowned and then next day I crossed the river. I came to know that swimming is the best exercise, so it will be beneficial for me throughout the life. I don't take one line for lifetime but I need help even at small steps. I love to take it from the friends. It can be the wisdom that I ask from them.

I was talking to a priest once. I was very severely depressed because of my situation. I kept hanging on because of my determination to one day buy a house. With no money, and no way to improve my situation, I was despondent. He said, "If point A is at one end of the table, and point B is at the other end, moving in the direction of your goal will at least bring you closer to it." He was right. That statement affected several decisions I had made and things improved. PS: I really did buy a house.
