How can we pass Electricity through water? Why are we adding little acid to water in the expt. of Electrolysis of water. We read in the news papers about electric shock and all that . When we wet mor and more electricity passes in our body. Then why are we adding acid in the expt. of electricity through water?

sorry i cant get it right but i think you are asking about why we feel shock when we touch an electric wire, this happens because water is a good conductor of electricity and our body consist of more than 70 percent of water and thats why we feel a shock whenever we touch a live wire.

Hey pal, I can't answer that. Sorry, I have no interest in science (incl. physics, chemistry & biology). I am sure you will get your answers from other mylotters.:)

Water apparently is a good conductor of electricity. Our body is made up of more than seventy percent water and I think that is why we can conduct electricity too. Adding acid to water just increases the conduction of electricity in the experiment.

sorry i don't understand this.. why would we want to pass water through electricty at all??
