Well, do you set any goals for your myLot activities or did you do so in the beginning when you just joined myLot? Like: make atleast x quality posts a day, or earn at least $x.xx within x days? I personaly joined just yesterday and already set some goals for myself to achieve: I'm trying to be active every day and I'll try to earn about $1 a day by being active at discussions and starting new ones. Do you set any goals for your myLot career?

Not really except to continue to be active and try and always place quality with all my responses. I really do not have a set type of goal as I find myLot a fun place to visit daily. The earnings for me simply flow and I don't set any type of target and or goal. I really do not consider this to be a career, as I also enjoy coming here daily to see how my friends are doing and if I can be helpful somehow.

Each one of us no matter what the post counts are does not earn the same here. It is all based on our own activity. Where even someone with lesser can make more and or less. It is dependent on our own activity and how we participate. A lot of us with high points is mainly because we participate everywhere and it does not even include the furthering of discussions where it could possibly be double the points and or more, if all activity was counted for. Points will increase but not based on earnings. Participation/typing and furthering of discussions will certainly earn you, keep in mind quality and the more you do it the more you earn. Most of us really enter discussions and have a great deal of fun furthering and the earnings really just flow. Always keep in mind that the points is not want earns you, it is the participation and or quality typing you do here.

Thanks for heading this all up, it straightens the image I had from this website and how to actually make money on it! :)

That's important too of course! I do see you've got lots of posts already, so I can understand that you may no longer have intensions to set any goals but just doing it for fun, being part of this community for a longer time. I'm always wondering how much people here earnt with such huge amount of post counts ( like in the thousands of posts ).

Hello Webcodez and welcome to myLot! I never set any goal for my myLot activity. Though I admit I joined myLot for the money, I am not so desperate to say "I must earn $x.xx within y days". I suggest you to do the same. Enjoy your time here, make friends and discuss with them any subject within your range of common interests and forget about the money. You'll see the difference in a few days and you won't regret the change. I wish you good luck!

The more you run after the money, the less you will earn. At least this is what I know from my experience in myLot. If you just try to have fun and to discuss with your friends without any thought about the money, you'll see that the earnings gather more quickly. I think you should give it a try for a few days to see the difference. Why do you say you can't forget about the money?

First off: thank you! :) Personally I do not see it as desperate to set a goal for my earnings, the contrary in fact. I enjoy myLot a lot already and setting a goal keeps me motivated to be active here. Forgetting about the money isn't an option for me though ;) However I do enjoy discussing things here and sometimes just continue posting and forget about the time ;D.

Hmm for me it worked to just be very active, the first day I joined I already earnt $0.62 ( which I think for myLot is pretty good right? ) and all I did is trying to be as active as possible, posting a lot and lengthy, searching, etc.. But I certainly wouldn't have joined myLot if I didn't like it, because the money you earn from it isn't a big amount from what I've seen/learnt so far. As for the money, that's basicly the reason I joined this website, but then I started posting and enjoying it as a community and even though I noticed that the money isn't a lot, I will keep doing it just because I like this community website a lot. And I'm having fun here, also when I think about the money ;) ( which I don't literally do, but it gives me more motivation to be active and which at the same time makes it more fun, at least I feel like it's fun to do )

If you just joined yesterday then youare doing pretty good since you already have 62 responses. I cant even do that in one day. I try to do at least 20 responses a day but i know i cant always do that. It isnt easy as i work and then today i got sick but i do know if i want to make the payout this month i have to keep up my goal of doing at least that many a day to get what i need. I would like to get the payout for buying a christmas gift online next month.

Hi lologirl You don't have to post 20 responses a day to earn on myLot. Just go back to the discussion that you have responded to, and see if the discussion starter has left any comment on your response and keep commenting back and forth as if you are chatting with that person, so as to further the discussion. That is what discussing is all about and that is what earns you here.

Thanks :) For me it's exactly the same, I'm trying to at least earn something to cashout with for the month but I also got college apart from this. However for me this is like relaxing, I enjoy it a lot, so that makes it easier to accomplish. It's nice that you set a goal to cashout for christmas, those are fun goals to set I think. Also hope for you that you'll get better soon!

Welcome to myLot, Webcodez! You seem ambitious, this is a good thing. Just look around and you will discover that earning money is one thing but there are other more interesting things here like meeting people, learning about different places of the world. I don't have special plans, I just log in when I have a free time. Good luck, I hope that you'll enjoy your membership here.

No, I don't set any goals for myLot. I am just here to participate in discussions and have fun at the same time. So, for me, myLot is not a career. Just a place to hangout with great friends. It's good that you are setting a goal for yourself. The important thing is to participate and be active here or else you will not earn much. Good luck to you and happy myLotting!

Thank you! :) I'm always trying to be as active as I can and participate on many parts of the website. It seems also quite some people just do it for fun, which I can understand because this is a great place and I can see that many are enjoying it!

Actually my target is as simple as "there's no day that has ZERO earning" And my dream about mylot earning is to earn $1 a day. Not for everyday, I just want to reach it at least one time. I wonder how much responses should I make in order to get $1 a day...

I like your goal of no day without earnings, sounds good to me haha :D Well $1/day is an achievable goal I think, but it isn't easy without any referrals. I hope I can get some (active) referrals too because that would ease the process by a lot. Otherwise earning $1 per day would require quite some activity and quite some posts a day, but I'm up for it! ^^

I think it's possible but you need to be very active and spend a lot of time participating discussions. I even hear someone made around $2.50 in just one day. I don't know how he made it. Maybe due to his referrals.

@thesimple @PPE Glad to know that. :D But, yeah.. I have to give a lot of efforts! May I know when did the last time you got your 1$ in a day? @webcodez @jacruz Unfortunately, I have no active referrals :(. So, I have to go for it by my self! :D

I do set goals for myself and I really try to meet those goals. I set daily goals so I do not always have the same goal two days in a row. I currently am trying to do at least 35 discussions each day. I am also trying to make at least one new discussion per day. It is hard at times, but I try hard to do that.

35 discussions a day is a very eager goal! But that's a good thing :D Creating new discussions is also a good way to contribute, however I'm not sure if I'd personally be able to keep up with new topics every day, but we'll see ^^ Also good luck to you :)

Lately, I have been setting goals for my mylot activities. Right now, my goal is to participate in at least three or four discussions a day. And if I feel motivated, driven and inspired, I sometimes participate in more than that in a given day. Through setting goals, I get closer and closer to the minimun requirement for reaching my payout.

That's nice, setting goals can indeed help you to reach payout faster, which is a good thing :D Also keeps you motivated ^^

on the first time I try to reach my goal and not anymore because I cannot always be in MyLot longer than ever before. I do my best, the rest is only a hope. My participation would probably running little by little, I don't set my goal and I use MyLot as a boredom reliever.

Haha that's a good use of myLot too, just to spend some time when you're bored and be active at myLot then, have some fun then and earn some cash too, spending your time wisely at the same time ^^

I never set a goal with my mylot activities. I always come online and never want to miss a friend's topic (as long as i can relate with it) I once said to a friend (a mylotter) that I want to reach 10k post very soon, for what reason that I do not know. I said...I will slowed with starting topic and keep commenting to friends topic to reach that 10k post. And I am starting it today have a good day jaiho®

That's a nice attitude and goal! 10k posts should be a lot of work :D But I see you've already got more than 8.5k, so you should succeed getting to 10k too ^^ Good luck to you.

Having a goal in our mind is always suggested. However, as the time allocation for myLot is depend on various other factors, I cannot expect to keep a clear cut timing for it. I know many of our friends moving ahead with a minimum plan in their minds and work to achieve it. I kept a goal of $10 in a month and I proved it can be. But whenever we have more things are to be managed, as I said earlier, it can be varied periodically. Thank-s

That's true, it depends on the time you can spend on myLot which can vary time to time. Right now I can spend a few hours a day at myLot and more in the weekends, but that may too change/vary at certain periods.

I used to set goals when I first began mylotting here.. but that quickly changed as I get busy with my work at home stuff. When I am busy I can't spend a lot of time here. I just do what I can now and don't worry about it.

I don't set any goals here. But I'll try to be active as much as I can and participate to interesting discussions. I just check my started discussions and read the response of other people and post some comments if necessary. I've been more active just this week.

In the end I may just do the same, but right now I'm setting goals to start off with and start earning some here as well as being a very active member. However trying to be as active as possible is I think what most people here do, which is good.

I set a goal because I personally want to tell myself I made earnings by being online. It is kind of a realistic pat in the back I guess. When that happens is not built into my objective as long as it happens sometime. I have other goals in mind mostly having to do with learning something about these kinds of communities I suppose. I suspect I will learn more about this career when as time evolves. I do want to do something that is help or contribute in some way so to earn that bonus!

That's very nice, I look at it the same way: I love to contribute to this community and enjoy it, but earning some extra cash while doing so gives me a good feeling too :D

Yes, I do set goals for my mylot career. I set 10 posts in a day and I am happy to achieve my minimum posts that I set everyday. I think it also helps if we become committed to our goals and be disciplined.
