How many words in discussions?

India

I want to know the minimum number of words that should be present in any discussion or replies to get paid. Because I am replying for topic and I am not getting paid. SO I just asked this question to clarify whether I am doing anything wrong while posting in discussions.

MyLot pays according to the quality of your participation. This is nothing so simple as a 'word count'. Of course, good quality involves being 'as descriptive as possible' (look to the left every time you go to start a discussion or type a comment or a response). When you simply start a discussion, you will earn very little. Your earnings will increase only when you can make good quality comments on the responses which you receive. Take this discussion as an example: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2573390.aspx In it you have received four very good responses and people have added comments as well yet YOU apparently have NOTHING to say! All of those people who responded and commented will have earned but you will have earned hardly anything for it. Just a quick look through the discussions you have started reveals that you have only commented ONCE in any discussion you have started (and that was just 10 words - one line!), yet you seem to have no problem with starting discussions which get good responses. Do you have nothing to say in reply which will actually MAKE it into a discussion? Take a look at the other responses when you respond to a discussion. Which ones are the most descriptive, relevant and original? Which ones do you think are worthy of a 'Best Response'? Try to be like them when you respond. Just posting 'universal truths' will not gain you the plusses of other members and that is what helps determine 'quality'.

Thanks Owlings for your suggestions and I really understood the mistake I have done in my previous posts. I will be hereafter more active in the discussions rather than just participation.

There is no minimum number of words for a response or a discussion. We are asked to answer with quality and if we have something to offer to continue the discussion. If you haven't seen an increase in earnings its most likely because earnings are updated only once per day. A day is on mylot time. Down at the bottom it tells us what time it is for mylot. So day starts at 12:00am mylot time and ends at 11:59pm mylot time sometime around 10am mylot time earnings are updated, weekends though no update most of the time. I would suggest reading through the guidelines and the FAQ's to help you with the site. Happy mylotting!!!

Mylot pays once a day, buyt you actually receive money around the 15 of next month if you have over $10 at the end of the month. Check the rules of the site and guidelines. There are causes for posts to be deleted so you don´t want to post that. Welcome to mylot and have fun! the more you learn to socialise here, the more you´ll earn. Happy posting!

Nothing to worry at all.... Responses are the outpouring of the inner thoughts - but to earn here and as per the suggestions of the senior members I found that any respo0nse should be a minimum of 4 sentenses...does'nt matter how many words but plan to post atleast 4 sentenses of the responses...

Hello anitha! welcome to mylot! If you like to earn in here, be sure to make a quality post cause it's much easier to earn more using quality posts than quantity posts. Be descriptive on what you are trying to say. Be sure to write more than four liners on each post you make. Have fun and be friendly as well. Being comfortable on interacting in here can be fun and you can make posts which you can't imagine you are making more money from it while having fun. Don't you like that? Be sure to read the FAQ's, my dear. for there are violations needed to be informed. Read more discussions and be sure to respond in a friendly way. Don't just add friends and collect them in your friend's list. People might think you are just here to scam or something. Do tasks, refer friends to join and search in here to earn rewards that will turn as earnings. If you like chatting, you can chat here by posting in discussions. But then, it is still better to discuss and share your opinions to others. Try to have continuous conversations for it can be great help for you to earn more. Remember, more posts means more earnings.

hi dear, there is no required words number for you to earn in this site. you just have to reply on your chosen topic but remember that you must answer them which is relevant to the topic. you can also make discussions on this site, whatever topic you want to talk..

We do not get paid for all our responses. I also had the same question, maybe it depends of their algorithm how they treat discussions or a respond worth for earning. It is sure that it does not depend on words.

We are only told of quality but not a number of words in a post (discussion). I have written long post and short one, but all of them pay the same and I have never experienced a post go unpaid for however short or long the post is. I hope you have to ask the admin for more clarification.

It's not about the number of post I think it's about the quality of the post. In other words your post should be at least 2 sentences or more and it should be related to the topic and straight to the point. That's what I do most of the time and it seems to work somehow. And always remember the rules for posting. For further information i suggest you read the mylot guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

hi:) I also don't know how many words needed per responses, but perhaps it's better if you read the FAQs, Me my minimum is two sentences per response. But you can only check your earnings the next day, not every post. happy mylotting!

Mylot pays you for the quality of your response. There is no particular word limit on when you will be paid. Your answer should be nice and clear all the doubts of the person who asks the question.
