Yes it is. I think that knowledge give us the ability to plan things and act accordingly in order to make something happen. It helps us have a life with goals and not dreams. It gives us an advantage from others.

Hi shskumbla: Definitely, knowledge is a synonym of power to me. In a positive way. When we know more about a subject we can be more aware of things and we can also teach others. Knowledge also open the doors to many possibilities around us because it give us the skills to act. ALVARO

yes knowledge is power because knowledge is something related to our brain, somebody cannot buy knowledge with money or power but knowledge gives you money, power & material possessions,if everything is taken away from you knowledge stays with you still

Knowledge is power. There's not much to say about it, though common sense says that the more you know about something the better prepared you are, and thus the more poweful you are towards that given thing. In any case, good discussion except can I mention some pointers? Short discussions don't generate sensible answers, they also can be deleted. Just thanking us is against the guidelines as well and can get your discussion deleted. Write atleast three line when doing a discussion.

I have heard of this saying: Readers are leaders. Reading increases one's knowledge, and therefore increases his potential to be a leader. Leaders, to a large, represent power (authority). In this regard, I would say that knowlege is power.
