Think positive thoughts before sleep

Before I head off to sleep at night, I try and detach myself of all of the negativity that I had to deal with during the day, no matter how much it is weighing down on me. After all stressing over things is counterproductive to getting a good nights sleep. Therefore, I try and think the most positive that I can. It just helps me sleep. How about you?

When I get into bed, I say a prayer. I pray in my own words about spiritual matters that are a priority to God and also about the events of the day. Before long after I finish praying, I'm sound asleep. No better way to end the day.

Hi megamatt, That's right. We need to clear and empty our mind of negative thoughts before sleeping. Think of positive happenings during the day. Praying before bedtime also helps us to have a good night's sleep.

Indeed, negative thoughts traumatize us. We are thinking about that right before we head off to bed. It is something that really tends to do a number of our minds. We keep thinking about it. Things that we might have done differently. Ways to solve the problem. Yet trying to latch on positivity, doing things that make us relax, it is going to be something that is going to lead us to a better night's sleep. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

i believe in this... really i am. i can even relate to it. i have slept some nights thinking, worrying about things that are of the past and it has got into me, even to my dreams... causing me to have nightmares even. it was not really good at all. and then i went to the point of being scared to go to sleep, or close my eyes... =( so my new approach was to sleep thinking positively, going to sleep after having some nice and good read about positive and happy quotations, i would also play some fruit ninja few minutes until my eyes start to give up on me. hehe and it all made the diffecerene...

I seldom get insomnia for the work or the business I handle with during the day,but the emotional tangle is an exception. I usually get sleep as soon as I head off my bed, cause I feel so tired to think about my work when I leave my office,I'd like enjoy my private time,or I will be also exhauted

I would always have a warm shower before sleep. At times my mind would wander and start thinking of negative things that happened during the day or past events that likely will bring my mood down. What I do is, having no thoughts at all. I will shut my eyes and slowly relax the whole body and by the time, I would have fallen asleep.

Indeed really when you consider it, any amount of relaxing would be something that would work rather well. There are just of a lot times where there is going to be something on our minds, anything, and it is going to leave our sleep rather troubled. Get the negative thoughts out first though and the rest is easy from there. After that, sleep is a breeze. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.
