Android Modding and Customization

I've been busy the past few days, modding my Samsung Galaxy Tab. I have just successfully modded to run on the customized Overcome ROM & kernel. Its certainly much slicker and faster than when I was on the stock Gingerbread. I may also want to try the CyanogenMOD 7 one but it is still in beta, but I already have the necessary files to start the modding process. I've also changed the layout so that it will look like a Honeycomb tablet. Have you tried modding or jailbreaking your smartphone? What was your story?

I really like modding stuff, of course I have to understand the risk first and have to read comments from users who actually have tried them out before I go into it. I think I did some on some of my previous phones. I read about this CyanogenMOD project before, I think it's pretty cool. It's nice to know that you are taking the extra steps to turn your gadget into something cooler. I just hope I get to own one soon. I'm extra jealous of you right now. Good luck with your work.
