I had tried use the convenient wire transfer through my bank, like Bank of America, and Chase, but the wire transfer fee there was outrageous, over $30 or more for whatever amount you intend to send. Regardless the location in the world. I had this small amount of money need to make wire transfer to Asia, but this time I just reluctant to use those big banks wire transfer service. I heard people talk about great things about moneygram, but I never know it works though. Would it work if I need to send that money to someone's bank account in a foreign bank? I got the account number and swift code though. Does anyone has experience with it, or give me some hint.

I agree. I would feel much safer using Western Union. I have used them before.

Well, the problem with Western Union is that, if you try to send money to someone and deposit that money to their account, such option will be limited to certain countries though. I search the Western Union website, and they don't offer much option in Asian Countries though.
