Run a freelance business, and get yourself out there. First, start for yourself. Get a feel of the websites out there that provide tons of freelance work. Start with writing. It's the easiest, and just about anyone can do it. Build up your credibility and start getting employers interested in you. Use all skills at your disposal if you can graphic design, code, etc. etc. Once you feel you got enough attention to yourself, start hiring a team. It's best to keep it as small as possible and to work on a commission basis. If you can find someone that can not only design websites, but code as well that would be ideal. Graphic designers as i've found out seem to work best just doing that on their own. Same with writers. Helpful? This is kind of what I do now and it works quite well, honestly. I mainly just stick with writing for now, but expansion is always nice. It's hard to find the right people to work with though. Took me ages to find some of the people that work with me that I help to find work for them. This is the "ideal' business to start with as there is no real investment cost. Other than maybe the cost of a website.
