Do you think? Subject or Title is most important part in our discussion

Yesterday I read a discussion which is started by a mylotter which was terrible or horrible how a boy due to his friends gang using a girl and girl is now conceived and afterwords boyes get decease of AIDS…God gives his punishement but I observe only 5 to 6 responses are there because the title of that discussion was very short “Another face” title may be “What you think? A boy should be punish he is responsible for conceived a girl”.. or any other and due to lengthy topic no one is interested to reading it even the content is good but the subject is not attractive…so most of the people missing it..
Sorry friend don’t mind I am just telling really subject is very important part of our discussion..I know this after reading your discussion...
I think in our subject short explanation is necessary about our topic so people can attract after reading the subject.. What you think I am telling truth or your opinion is different so Welcome in my discussion with your opinion..

Good Morning my dear friend during your evening. 
A title is what is going to attract interest, but then the discussion body is what is going to appeal to the member to respond. I feel that the body of the discussion is most important to me.
It reminds me of books, where the title is very eye catching, but then we read the summary and determine if this is the type of book we are interested in reading. So I feel the same here with discussions.

Yes your titles are observed and it is what attracts a member to open the discussion. But if the body of the discussion is not understood and or they can apply useful and or helfpul information then they won't. Sometimes a lot of us put funny catchy titles to get members to out of curiosity open the discussion.
Once the discussion is open we have to really be interested because if we can't relate to the body of the discussion, we won't post for the sake of just posting. Also many members must be careful on only responding to the title. Many members here post titles that has nothing to do with the discussion. This upsets the discussion starters because the title is merely a snippet of what the actual discussion is about.

Yes my dear friend you are right even the title is good but the body of the discussion is not understood then no one can replied on it..means both are necessary body and title like our mind and body both are important..but tell me really good observation because yesterday I started a discussion on toilet when I observe the tigarann discussion electricity off and storage of water and today once again observe two discussion and start my own discussion but really now I want to reach blue star...Friend I want to tell on thing you here one person is always join my discussion in last after all why I dont know but I am observing..

Hello Surekha, if topic is not of our interest and we have not any knowledge of a topic than how can we write on these. It is not bad if some one write lengthy topic. But it is thing of common sense that every one have limited time, so it is not easy for us to read a full page. Topic must be informative and in brief.

Friend I am not telling lengthy topic is bad I am telling about title and title should be related with contents or attractive so the people can join the discussion...but if topic is limited lots of people will take the interest to join it...

The first thing that attract me to any discussions is the title. A catchy title instantly attract my attention to want to read the text. If I find the discussion interesting which I can relate well then I'll respond. Yes, we should create a good title that would draw people to read our discussions. Whether they respond or not is another matter.

Yes friend this is our duty to put the good subject even the people are not read teh discussion but I observed if title is good then people already attracted and read the full contents..

It is also true that some are not ready to read the whole content of the discussion. I have received many responses from members who simply reading the topic only. However, I prefer to open the topic and read it completely then only I respond. If the topic is started under the category of friends, surely I will open it irrespective of its tile. I know to whose topic is this, yesterday I read the same in my inbox, due to hectic schedule in office, I could not participate with that discussion.

Yes ir is very important to have cathcy title for discussion.It will help users to discuss otherwise it will only become collection of meaningless sentences.

Actually for me big YES. Title is very important here in discussion because title is the one rolling over and over in the page in order to see by the readers. Meaning our title should be CATCHY or UNIQUE to the eyes of the readers, then the content plus how the content presented. Even short title can be attrack by the readers but should be unique. May be some are not interested or the discussion is not catchy or related.

It depends on how a mylotters drawn to it. although in the past people are curious with unusual topics or titles that catch their attention. but some are just good only for the titles and most contents are relatively similar or indirect similar with the other. personally i prefer people who are only few responders and that's important to me as long as some one responds.

Yes friend you are right some mylotters contents is not match with their contents but others are start similar and related to title. Yes VP.. we can attract many users for reading our discussions by creating those small and attractive titles. And the replies is depend on the interest of those reader.
Surely some small attractive titles can attract users and make them think about it what is it all about and it makes them read that topic.

i agree that the subject is a big part to start a discussion. just like any articles the writer must write a title that would catch the interest of the reader just like what you did. i got intrested with the title so i read your discussion. i also try making my discussions titles really catchy so that a lot would respond to it. i'm a new member of mylot so there is really a lot of effort to put up a great discussion.

Hi there!
I agree that if the title is catchy, it would attract many lotters to respond. However, more important are contents of a post and how the discussion has been narrated. Does the post evince any interest to share our own experiences or views? And could we relate to the discussion in any manner? I feel that users prefer to respond to simple and easy topics rather than complex one.

i totally disagree. i guess you noticed that there are titles not even related to the discussion or the original post when you read it. some members, including me sometimes post discussions with misleading or mystical titles. the most important thing about the discussion is the topic itself, how we stated and explained our idea on it, and we actively participate with the members who will response.

In addition, the episode that you've described that is really a terrible thing, I am fully agree with you on the point that the title is very important for our topic in the discussion.
More often, however, we all are attracted only by the introduction and maybe respond to the question without reading all the text in its entirety.

I agree with you subject is most important part of our discussion or in any article if title or subject is good then more people will attract in that discussion...I read yesterday Vidhy's discussion it was very horribe and I replied on it..But sometime people put their title different and content are different...
