Okay I am out of turkey and ham and all things that you would make a sandwich out of! So I searched in the fridge and made me a sandwich with mayo, tomato, and a sliced jalapeno! And I have to say it was pretty good!! I also added chips in the middle of the sandwich!! he he he Have you ever done that?

I always find funny the way you seem to be out of everything but odd things to cook. Chips in the middle of a sandwich!!!OMG!!! Why don´t you keep some tuna cans at hand waiting for a rainy day? I think those are the best with mayo when there´s nothing around.

It seems that you´ll need to but tuna cans wholesale. I agree that it is quite different to have food around when you are living alone than having it when there´s a man in the house.

With the economy is we have to get creative with our cooking and eating. I remember my grandmother talking about sending bread and butter sandwiches to school for my dad's lunches during the because it was what they had. If they could afford baloney it was for Sunday lunch. Now I like a good tomato and mayo sandwich. When I was kid I like chips on my hamburgers but not any more..

I have always liked tomato sandwiches. Tomatoes are one of my very favorite things. I have never put the hot pepper or chips on them but have added cucumbers & onions thinly sliced. That's good to.

I like to add either jalepeno or banana peppers to my sandwiches. I like the hotness. Sometimes I use a horseradish mustard.

Hi ja hernandez rivas: yes it does. Actually your recipe sounds delicious. I love to add cheese and chicken to my sandwich but just as you do I see what's on my fridge and I chose different things. Every sandwich is different then ALVARO

Wow! At least you have created a new type of sandwich out of those you have gotten from the fridge. Me, whenever we run out of some fillings for our bread, i would only open a can of sardines , put some slices of onions and put some drops of hot sauce, and voila, i have a delicious sandwich. My husband likes them, for a change.

I was raised on mayonaise and tomato sandwiches. On the other hand the chips on it was taboo in our house. When I got older I still find balogna and cheese sandwiches my favorite and adding barbeque chips to the mix makes it absolutely yummy. I like banana peppers and pickles on mine. Some days the sandwich is better than others.

Uhm...Can’t say I have ever tried that combination, sounds rather nice, the chips are a yummy addition! Usually when I run out of cold meats I stick to toasted cheese. I guess I could be a tad more creative with my sandwiches!

I frequently make such concoctions and usually find the things you make off the cuff like that usually end up being tastier than prepared and planned meals!!

Oh yes my friend times are tough and there are days that not all of our favorite foods are at home. I have made a sandwich with mayo, onions and cheese. While some ham and or turkey would have been great, I must admit it was filling and good at the moment. I guess we should be thankful that we can improvise sometimes where some people don't have anything at all.

No, but I've seen people put chips on their sandwishes before. They all say it's really good. It just doesn't sound good to me. Best Wishes!

Never tried that but it does sound good. When I have nothing in the house, I just cut up some tomatoes, onions, fry up an egg and put them in between two pieces of bread and eat it up
