Guess what Bootsie ate?

Hello fellow mylotters. Those of you who own cats know they are very nosy creatures and have to stick their face in every bag and box you bring in. Also they like to sniff your food to see what you have. All my kitties wanted a sniff of my open faced sandwich, and Bootsie began to eat at it. Peanut butter! I can't believe he ate it. For a whole 10 minutes he was licking his face to get it off his mouth. That was funny! The next day, I tried it again and he did indeed eat the peanut butter again. I have found something new he likes. Fellow mylotters, has your cat eaten something that normal cats would not eat? Have you a cat who will eat the very sticky peanut butter? I would love to hear all about your pets and food choices.

My eldest cat, Melissa, is 17+. Her favorite food EVER is Burger King french fries. I don't know why it's that particular type but it is. She will also eat doritos and other fries and chips. But she prefers Burger King and will actually fight to get to them. I have never had a kitty want peanut butter though. Too funny.

Careful about Doritos and spicey food. That can cause them problems. French fries? Too funny! I do not know too many cats that will eat potato based food. In fact, I think you are the first one to mention it. lol! I couldn't imagine fighting a cat over my bag of chips!

Ah Yes,the spices in doritos. We learne about that early. She doesn't get them anymore. Doesn't mean that she doesn't want them tho. LOL. She begs just like a dog. And really begs and actually tries to bat fries out of my hand. Very silly kitty.

Baby actually licked off the cheesy stuff off a dorito a few weeks ago. I cannot believe she did that! I let her smell it, and couldn't believe that she began to lick it. She did that when she was pregnant, but that was 4 years ago and since then has not had interest in doritos other than smelling them.

That's wild!! Was it crunchy or smooth? I am gonna have to try that on Survivor and see what she thinks about it. If I think about it tomorrow when I go to my daughters I will have to give them some when I feed them like I do every morning when I get there. Can't wait to see what they think. It will be hilarious if they actually do like it!

Out of five, only the one ate it. Bootsie does like to eat nuts, so I have to be careful because some nuts are not good for them. I couldn't believe he ate it, and then the next day I gave him some and he ate it then too! It is crunchy peanut butter I fed him. Let me know if you can get them to eat it.

Hahaha, I'll bet that was funny to see! My cat is really strange, it doesn't like any kind of meat, chicken, etc. How weird is that?! Not cooked, not raw: he will just turn his nose up at it. He mostly prefers plain old dry cat food to anything else. He does like to snitch pasta covered with spaghetti sauce though. He won't touch the meatballs, but loves the sauce. I did find him eating from my dish of potatoes once. Strange, no?! He won't touch milk, which most cats love. However, if you value your cup of coffee, or tea, do NOT let it sit for 2 minutes and leave the room. He'd have his nose stuck in there and lapping it up fast. I learned long ago not to leave my plate or cup if I need to leave the room. The safest place to put it is on the kitchen counter, believe it or not, he never, ever, jumps up there:-) Will have to see if he likes peanut butter just for the fun of it.

Mine will not eat meats either. Every once in awhile they will have a tiny, tiny bit of tuna, but as far as chicken or anything else, they will not touch it. Another cat that likes potatoes? That is funny! O, my! He gets to your coffee and tea too? What a funny cat!

Joyful, that sounds like my little blind kitty, Seibar. She doesn't like meat or wet food only her dry kibble. She recently had a stomach infection and we had to force feed her watered down wet food. She won't touch it at all now. Just kibble. The other cat I mentioned, Melissa is also a tea drinker. The Fella freaked the first time she put her face in his glass. He's used to it now.

Baby loves eating the plastic bags for sure. If she is hungry and I'm still sleeping she will find something to chew on. Even if she is hungry and I am getting their food ready, sometimes she goes into the living room and finds an avon bag to chew on! Like I'm not going to feed her. Geesh!

I have never offered peant butter to any of our cats in the past but my dogs loved it. They are funny to watch too..sometimes the peanut butter gets stuck to the roof of their mouth and they go though all kinds motions trying to get rid of it...
