What Kind of Movies Fascinate You?

I'm a movie lover ever since I stepped in college because it served as my past time and stress reliever from all the papers that I had to do back then. And it really did work for me, for movies relaxed my mind off from busyness for a while. And so, I realized that I found myself enjoying on movies that got my interest. I can be alone all day with watching just by myself. CDs and DVDs piled up in my dorm room that competed with the books. From that time, I developed the discernment of whether or not a movie isn't good for me by judging its pictures, casts, and a short summary written at the back of DVDs whenever I go buy at my favorite stall. There I learned that I was fascinated more with movies that are more about life, mystery, sci-fi and action sometimes (depending on the movie), love stories of course, and comedy films which are my most favorite! So you, what particular/kind of movie fascinates you?

When it's the holidays for me, I would go to the DVD store and rent all the epic movies that I want to watch. Then I just sit in front of the Tv all day. I simply love animated films like Up, Wall E or Toys story. They're so adorable and I always have to watch every animated film that comes out of the cinemas. I enjoy comedies too, not the romance ones though and horror or action. I always watch the movies by myself, it's one of my favorite pass times.

Hi Triple! I also love all that animated films that you said most especially Wall E. I loved the lesson in it and I loved imagining how would a life would be like when all around us are highly technological. I'm pretty sure that we'd grow way too lazy and become really fat like those in that film! Stelalouis: I love Dear John as well. It gave me a lot of thinking because I'm never really a fan of long distance relationship. Haha!

Well, I don't mind romantic comedies but I prefer the family comedies better like "Grown Ups". It's pretty funny about different families going on a trip together. And ronadelle, I'm glad you enjoyed Wall E, I found that movie so cute with the boy and girl robot being together. The fat captain made me laugh! Imagine the world was so polluted, we had to migrate into space in order to live!

I like movies filled with well-made computer graphics. I study computer graphics art and there are just too many great artists nowadays that conquer movie-making and I would give anything for an interview with at least one of 'em.

Hi ronadelle! Seems you like a lot of movie genres. I like only a few and first and foremost of that is action sci-fi adventure type of movies. These include superhero movies such as Iron Man, X-men, Transformers, Superman, G.I. Joe and the likes. I also like the Harry Potter movies, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Mummy and all that adventure type of movies. Second of that would be horror-thriller-suspense-supernatural types of movies. I prefer psychological thriller movies and I least like gore and blood movies although I still watch a lot of them. I love Asian horror-thriller movies, they are so different from the Hollywood type. Third would be action movies. These would include The Expendables, The Transporter, Fast and Furious, all Jet Li action Hollywood movies, and the likes. But above of these all is the martial arts movies of Jet Li. In Asia there's a separate genre for this called wuxia. I think it's a type of martial arts discipline. Anyway, I love it.

Wow, you have a taste for those action movies. I've watched some of those said but it's only when I find myself enjoying them too when my husband watches them. They're my husband's favorite too!

I always like to see good movies, no matter what genre. A good action film is as good as a romantic one if it is good. But I also have another side. I sometimes get in the mood for those movies where you end up crying, knowing it´s bull*hit, but still you want your tears running down your face. Those I like to see them alone of with a couple of woman friends that like them too.

Hey Ronadelle, I love watching movies like anything. I love all sorts of movies, specially light comedy, action, sci-fi, drama, animation, which leaves a smile on your face after watching it. It is one of best ways to learn new things or even refreshing the older versions.Sometimes this judging thing may go wrong so better you just watch a movie another lame excuse to watch a movie :p jokes apart. Some times you just see yourself in the characters played and it also gives the solutions as well. Even i love collecting movies which i really like. Cheers Vaishnavi

One comes across enough bad things on the news, so what I like is going to the movies to see something positive! My favorite movies are funny ones, with a sense of humour! They can put a smile on my face and then everyday life seems better than it was before!

I love watching movies too and I am not particular with the stars unless it is my favorite star Nicolas Cage. I like love story and comedy. I like documentaries a lot, esp with actual footages.

I have always been a lover of the genre, adventure - horror, however ultimately I am also pleased to see such films as musicals and love stories. However, I always prefer to watch movies with friends, rather than alone.

There are lots of movies that fascinate me but I seldom watch a film. I only select what I like to watch on a movie channel on tv. I sometimes go to the movie house and watch comedy pictures and other films that my daughter likes. She's the only person that I go with at a movie house.

I like horror movies but what I really scared of watching are those with demon possession, exorcists, or anything like it because one time I watched Paranormal Activity 1, oh! it didn't make me sleep the whole night. From then on, I swore not watching anything like it at all. Funny yet really scary!

Movies based on real stories really get me sucked in knowing that it really happened. I enjoy other films but knowing that what i am seeing was real life makes it come alive more.

I like a lot of movies because it fascinates me with the amount of work that must have to go into everything that they make on set. With regards to actual movies, romantic comedies are the ones that I enjoy watching the most. I like to think about what life would be like if I were one of the characters in the film. I am of the opinion that any film that manages to start to make you think about yourself as one of the characters has really done its job well in regards to making things realistic for their target audiences.

That's right! Not only does a film manages to make us think about ourselves but also make us cry or laugh. It's wonderful to know that films can really affect viewers' feelings and emotion. What I want most is that I feel like I'm in another place whenever I watch. I love the feeling of being part of the movie sometimes.
