Aha. i remember to make this topic when i saw my boyfriend the other day and he told me he almost locked himself out. he pushed the auto lock and then went off the car to fix the car's front lights and wow he thought shoots.. i locked my self out. he was already thinking of how to contact me knowing i have a spare key. fortunately he did not had the other side locked, luckily!! =) hehe so have you ever locked yourself out before and what did you do?

Not that I have experienced it myself, but my dad did. Wasn't lucky because both sides of the door was locked. The good think is he was still at home and the spare key was with my mom. Another bad news came when my mom can't remember where she placed the spare key . We looked for a few minutes on the possible places my mom could have placed it, luckily we found it just in her cabinet.

I have, about 3 times. Once, a tow truck driver behind me at gas station opened it for me. On another instance, I used, to my amazement, another set of keys to open my car. On the 3rd instance, it was so cold outside that I simply broke my window to get in.

Not personally but when I was riding with someone, they had done that. That was kind of embarrassing but I'm sure it is something that really does happen to many people to say the very least. There are going to be a lot of people who are going to forget those car keys and it just makes me almost shake my head. Yet there are going to be times where it happens. Thankfully it was an easy enough fix and we didn't have to wait too long for it to get taken care of. Still it was no less of a problem and I am almost certain that there are going to be a lot of people who were laughing to say the very least. That is the problem when you get into a bit of a rush. Things like this happen and its rather embarrassing.

yes i have experienced this too when we were about to go outing. my father was checking the car when suddenly he noticed that the left side wheel was flat so he hurriedly went out of the car accidentally leaving the car keys. he was about to open the car to get some stuffs when he noticed that he was not holding any key. but luckily we were still home and i got the spare keys for him.

Most cars I've had were fitted with pop up door locks inside, needing you to deliberately push them down before closing (and thus locking!) the door..My current car has key operated central locking,so I need to take the key out with Me in order to lock up...and it's only got the keyhole on the driver's side! One reason I got rid of my last car was discovering I could open the driver's door with my house key or a screwdriver blade,so though I never managed to lock myself out of it,getting in again would have been no problem!

I don't have a car, yet, so no. But i do left my key inside my apartment. It was so lame of me. What I did was I destroyed the lock so i can enter. Then I have to buy a new one so I left my room open. Luckily no one found out i left it open. It was a bad day for me.
