I don't look my age

Today, I have received a compliment that many women would be happy to receive. The nurse at the university health unit told me that I don't look my age and that I look younger. I did not know how to react because I thought I looked awful that time since I was not feeling well. I just smiled but I could not give my thanks because I was so elated. ^^ So what compliment have you received today? Are you happy when someone says you don't look your age?

At this age I am, I would be excited if someone complimented me for my physical appearance for looking younger than my age. Being on the big size is at a disadvantage cos it makes me look much older than my age. I really need to go down to merit a good compliment.

Girls! At least you've got proof that you have and still living your life! You've been in my age before and enjoyed it like I do so now it's my turn.

I've avoided looking at the mirror too as much as I can cos when I look at the mirror I see my mother looking back at me! No wrinkles yet but everything seems to go out of proportion. My face getting rounder and fast going southward. I've tricked the gray hairs by coloring my hair so I would not look too old before my time.

Yup. Putting on weight can do it all right. I always used to be told I looked younger than my age until two things happened -- my hair turned really gray and I gained about 20 pouds. Now I don't like what I see in the mirror anymore, so I don't spend much time wit the mirror.

Most people think that I look younger than what I am. People who are significantly older than I am often mistake me for being college aged. I like looking younger than what I am, but I know that it can also work against me. I have years of experience, but those are all washed away when someone looks at me and assesses me as being a "college student." The way to upset me, though, is to assess me as being older than what I am. I've had that happen to me once. It reminded me that I needed to take better care of myself, since I'd been feeling rather badly at the time.

You can always show them your years of experience in other ways other than your looks.

I haven't received a compliment today, just yet. I have also been told that I don't look my age at all either. I have been told that I look like I am still in high school, or that I look like I am in my early 20s. I am 33 now though. I know that this compliment would have made you feel better as you thought that you looked awful and that you were not feeling well. I am happy when someone tells me that I don't look my age at all. I try my best to take care of myself and be less stressed. I also feel that it also feels good to look young on the outside, and still feel young on in the inside too.

I also try my best to take care of myself. I have stopped staying up late at night so much and I try to get enough sleep. Yes! Feeling young in the inside helps a lot to look young on the outside.

Well nobody has given me any compliments today, but I have had people tell me I don't look my age. When people find out how old I am, thats the first thing they say, or they'll say you still look like a young girl. It makes me happy, hopefully I grow old gracefully like my mother and my grandmother, my mother don't look her age, and neither did my grandmother, and neither one has/had much grey hair. I hope I got their good genes.

That's always a nice thing to hear! Things like that will always make you feel good about yourself :) I'm 19 and people that don't know me always think I'm 15 or younger. Hosts at restaurants will sometimes leave me with a kiddie menu because I guess they think I look like one. At first, it really bothered me when people thought I was so much younger, but now I realize it can be a good thing..especially as I get older.

A kiddie menu!!! That's really amusing! You must really look so young, then. Looking young is really advantageous. For one, I get to avail of student discounts in transportation fare.

I know I don't look like my age so I don't think it will be a compliment to me. I am used to myself but lately frequently shocked if I see people who are 10-15 years younger as me but look way older. I mostly check then if I am right. My daughter promised me to shoot me if I am really look very old and think I am still 16. What is a relief to me. Funny thing is that lately someone said to me too I looked great although I felt very sick and had fever. My son give me compliments whole day on about everything does that count too?

Hi secretbear! You must had felt great after hearing this compliment considering that you seems to look awful that day. Maybe the nurse had mistaken you for a high school student (I'm assuming that you're in college level already). I used to give compliments to my female office mates whenever I bump into them, telling them such things about their looks, dress or whatever I found really astonishing to them. And this will always result in a unexplainable smile on their faces. I think giving compliments make a positive boost in the aura of a person. Though I don't want to boast, but I believed I have aged well as far as my high school batch mates are concerned. During our reunion, I really felt great whenever someone will say that I look younger compare to them. Making me to smile all throughout that night. Have a nice day!

I'm already working tholitz. I work and at the same time I'm taking up my masters degree. Yeah, I agree. Giving compliments to people will really make them happy and improve their mood. As long as the compliment does not sound like a bola. Well, good for you for looking better than them! Now, you won't get embarrassed to attend another one reunion!

Maybe youre still young at that. Or maybe you look younger that your real age. But age doesnt matter, it is the woman in you that matters. Smile a lot and be happy, and you will feel young and more lovable.

that's great. It must be so wonderful to be told that. No one ever said that I look younger than I am, but one time when I went to Applebee's and ordered a drink, I got carded. That means the person serving the drinks thought I might not be 18. So that was pretty nice. It's been a long time since I was under drinking age! So was a really big surprise.

It make us feels good when someone says we look younger than our age. When I am with my daughter people always says "ahh" each time I introduce my daughter and they give me a look " you don't look like your age to have a teenage daughter" I like the compliments so well and wish to look more younger have a good day jaiho®

It is a complement when someone says you don't look your age.It means you've kept yourself in perfect physical shape. You might have been ill but the other person perceived you as being in good shape.I haven't received any complement today.I have spent the whole day in connection with a difficult project related to my work which will take another few days to complete. If someone really means a complement i would feel happy.

Hi picjim! I think I have been really taking good care of myself. Eating right and doing some exercise. But I'm just doing that recently so I guess it's working!

Of course, anybody told that , would feel really elated. Imagine someone mistaking you as younger than your age, then it means you are really taking good care of yourself or carry yourself well. Keep it up my friend!

I have always said this, that age does not matter for someone. I know of someone who is less than 20 years old, but she looks like she is already in her 40's. I also know of someone who is already 40, but she looks like she is still in her mid 20's. I guess it is really the disposition that matters.

Haha I know what you mean! Last Tuesday, while my whole team went out for a dinner, we were talking about our love lives (most of my team mates are guys so they just love to tease and bother me about getting a new Bf or so) so they started teasing and bothering me then my boss suddenly asked: Boss: How old are you anyway?! Me: Turning 27 this November Boss: No, really... Me: It's true! It's my 5th year with you guys! Officemate/friend/supervisor: Really?! Boss: You look 24!!! Me: o_0 Ok... All of you are forgiven~ That really made me happy that we dropped the whole "find a new BF" subject XD

Hello secretbear. If someone says that I look younger than my real age, I feel happy. But now I don't think that I don't look my age because however I look at myself in front of the mirror, I do look my age and I feel a little bit upset. hehe. I wish to really look younger. Though it is a blessing to be old, I love to be young as a teacher. And you know, in our country, there are a lot of age limit in finding a job. So it is always better to look young and to be really at a young age, but not too young. Have a good day, friend.

i love when people told me that i look younger than my age (though im just a teenager) but there are some people who hates it. I had this classmate of mine who is 13 yrs old (im 15) but she was taller than me and she was kinda chubby so when people ask her age she always tell them that she is already 14 cause they will question her further if she told them the truth and they would believe her right away, and she needs to explain for them to believe her, and that pisses her off. :)))
