Remember the discussion where I shared about taking Neurontin and having the issues with the sore throat, and thinking it was that medication and then wondering what there was for me to take. Well it began a long lengthy search and detail to try and see if there was something else out there for me, and would my Insurance ever be able to try and help cover the cost of that med as well. I have considered all other meds that are out there for Fibromyalga and so far have not been able to come up with a better solution at all.
So with consideration my Doctor suggested I try taking the Neurontin again as I started hurting so bad, and see how things go. Since if I take it all the time at the higher dose my BP and my Sugar levels are higher than I like take 1 most days and like every 3rd day take 2. It is seeming to make a difference again in the way I am feeling. Just not sure that since the weather is cooling down a lot again that this is always helping but there is some relief most days.
So for now I do what I have to do, and hope for the Best. I just sometimes wish there was an easier way. Somehow hoping for a Miracle and eventually for God to cure me of this as well. But if it never happens than at least I have tried.

I am sorry to hear that you are having this problem. I remember when I got so bad with depression they tried me on six or seven different anti-depressants and the side affects were unsufferable. Finally I am back taking the original medication that caused me the problems in the first place!

Well, right now I have to avoid too warm of baths and such due to having the Skin graphs, and since I still have one open wound I think a shower is definately still the Best idea. A lot of the problem is due to the Fibromyalga and being Diabetic and such with the pain and problems I experience, and wanting to research what else is out there for help.

Well the main thing right now is concentrating on getting the wound completely healed, and then getting a job in a cleaner work place, and then go from there. It would be nice if there was an easier quicker fix, but I know God is still in control.

Well, I have been having pains almost like cramps in my feet, legs and even the Chest muscles above my heart a lot lately. It seems like the colder it gets outside, etc. the worse they get. And this is not counting the almost Migraine type headaches that luckily never turn into migraines as well. So in reality now that I know for at least now I am set in my job, I do need to set up an apt. to see my regular doctor and discuss this issue again for sure.

Personally as soon as the wound on my leg ever decides to Heal completely, I am seriously considering checking a place out here that specializes in helping people who have Fibromyalga thru Chiropractic care. I have seen some of the videos, etc. and not sure if my Insurance covers it or not, but it might be worth a shot, or do the Shots which at one time my Doctor has suggested considering as well.

Hi Tina,
I have had a condition called, M.E or myalgic encephalomyelitis also known as post-viral fatigue. This started with me around 25 years ago. It has got easier, and I control most of the symptoms with meditation and am on a sugar-free diet. I did start off by using pain-killers but they really didn't suit me at all, so went with the more natural approach. I visited an food-sensitivity doctor and he helped me a great deal. _Derek

I am sure there are Foods that I eat that do not help this condition, nor does having Diabetes and the Chronic wound that they are trying to get healed help with my situation as well. I would Love to try a more natural approach over the medications for sure but right now having to wait that out. All I know is having this pain at times does become unbearable and hard for me to take.

Has your doctor sent you to a physical therapist? When I was first diagnosed, I tried everything under the sun, including massage, and acupuncture, and so on. Physical therapy to get me on an exercise program is what eventually turned it around. I still hurt, but usually if I go for a vigorous walk, I feel better afterward.

Walking for some reason makes me hurt a lot more afterwards. The last time I did a lot of walking 2 days in a row by the 3rd day I could hardly move. I have heard about Chiropractic care helping with some people with Fibromyalga and tempted to look into it, or other means of help. The medication they have me on helps but wish there was not the additional swelling with it for sure.

It is such a coincidence that just when I was surfing the Net to find out about the benefits of flax seeds I saw this topic of yours. Flax seeds are supposed to help those with this ailment. Here is a link which might help you:

This is some interesting information. Some of this I was not aware of, and I have bookmarked this site so I can come back and check it out more again. There is still a lot of unknowns out there about Fibromyalga, but what I am finding out is it often affects everyone differently at so many different times.

This is interesting. Wonder where a person would get Flax seeds like this? Is there Health food stores with information about this, or pills with this in them? All I have ever heard of is increasing my Magnesium intake and see if that helps and try to do more when I feel up to it.

I sent my staff helter skelter to fetch these seeds. I have now got them ground and have a tablespoon of it in warm water with a bit of sugar. One is expected to drink plenty of water as well. It is good for so many other symptoms as well. The main advantage is that it cuts down ldl the bad cholesterol as it contains both omega 3 and omega 6.

Hiya KH,
Did´nt know that KH. Never have had to take that either. For a sore throat I usually see how far it goes so unless its really bad I let my defenses take care of it if I can.
I usually have low blood pressure so I am careful what I take as well as it could lower my blood pressure even more which is not nice either.
How are you doing anyway? Are they managing to cure your leg better now?
Perhaps a cure for that will turn up you never know do you really?.xxx
