I have been searching for the same answer since a long time. Many of the sites mentioned that the autopay option can be turned off; however, for Indian users this option cannot be turned off.

I guess the only way to disable auto withdraw is to remove your bank account details. But that would be a problem. It might cause your account to be limited. I guess that is better. I want to have auto withdraw in my country too. So it will be easier. I guess for me, I have to pay for charges before I will be able to withdraw my money to my bank account.

I don't think there is any way to stop this..as it has been done according to the regulation of reserve Bank of India....

natigleb: This has been done by paypal to follow guidelines of governing authorities. We cannot change it. One good thing is they do it free of charge. Earlier I would have paid 50 X 5 or 6 times rupees for transfer to my sb account. good day

You are from India, right? Like several friends said above, you can't disable it. It is Paypal regulation for Indian Paypal members after all. Let's just hoping Paypal would change that policy soon.. Anyway, let's see the positive side: you can easily withdraw your money to your bank without any fee at all! Well, as for me, Paypal members from my country need to pay a fee of $2 in order to withdraw money to bank. That is big enough, right?
