I haven't been here very much lately as my brother passed away on last Monday, September 12. He had been suffering from Alzheimer's for about five years and went to a Seniors home in late July of this year. His seven children were here, one from as far away as Holland. The grandchildren, that could make it were also here. He had two great-grandchildren that he had never seen. My brother was 85 years old and had been suffering for some time, especially during the last three weeks of his life. In the end, he went quite peacefully, surrounded by family. Burial was to be on Friday but due to a storm, it had to be postponed until Saturday when the weather was more favourable. We all miss him but expect to be united again someday. Six of my eight brothers and sisters have now made their transition. I have one brother and one sister still living. How you lost any of your siblings?

Hi Pose, I'm so sorry about your brother ,and I know that you are probably sad ,but I truly believe that we reunite ourselves with our love ones again and I know that you believe this too. My prayers are with you and your family. He lived a long life and if he was very much like you, he probably had many friends who will miss him. Blessings to you and everyone in your family

Hi Mirita, Thank you for your condolences and for your prayers. Yes I believe that we are spiritual beings and that life neither begins or ends with this body. It gives us all hope and comfort to have this knowledge within us. We will meet again somewhere and in someway and I think that it will be a joyful reunion. Blessings.

Sorry about the loss of your brother. Hugs to you. My wish for you is that you know that you are still loved by him and that you know that he is okay now, more able to think and see and feel love than ever before and more happy than before as well... May you take comfort in knowing this and also in the knowledge that you are loved by so many who know you as you have shown your love to many.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, Pose123. There are eight of us and we are all still alive. I dislike seeing people suffer so I hope that when it is any of my siblings time to leave us that they go quick. I know that it was hard on all the family when your brother was suffering. He is in a better place now.

Hi Pose. It is a blessing that all the children are still alive so they can help their Mother out. I feel that the are a very close family. I wish my siblings would let things go and get a long. The youngest of my siblings is 48 and the oldest is 61. When my mom passed, her and one of my sisters had never made amends. This really bothered me.

Hi Pose: I'm really sorry and I hope you are well. It's always terrible to lose someone, specially after so many years being with an especial person like a brother can be. I haven't lost any of my siblings, they remain with me and they are a very important part of my life. ALVARO

My Condolences, Pose. Losing of someone is very hard enough. I was just 15 when my father passed away. Not finished my studies yet and no enough livelihood to support. But on the other hand, I thank that his sufferings of his illness has an end.

Hi libramie, Thank you for your condolences and it has to be hard losing a parent when you are so young. I think that we have to realize that it is their time, whatever age they are. We will miss them of course but they live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved them. Blessings.

I am sorry for your loss. I have not lost either of my half sisters as of yet. My eldest half sister turned 60 this year and I am only in my 30's so it's hard to say when they'll be leaving this world. Though I think the one who is 55 will go before the other as she walks with a cane or in a motorized scooter and that is far to young to need such things.

Hi 3SnuggleBunnies, Thank you for responding and I agree that 55 if far too young to need a cane for walking. Sometimes though such people live to be very old. Blessings.

I know how this feels, you miss them so much, but at the same time you would not wish them one more second of pain and suffering. My Brother has been gone 3 years now and I still talk to him all the time, this brings some comfort to me. Blessings to you and your family.

Hi Pose, I am sorry to hear about your loss. However, it is good that he went away peacefully. For us, going like that is sort of a blessing. I lost my maternal grandfather more than 10 years back, he was always very nice to us and I miss him much.

I'm really sorry. Hope prayers can bring you some confort. I believe we all go to a special place and life goes on even after this kind of form, that they live as spirit but in any case, you could talk to him if you believe.

Hi katie0, Thank you for your condolences and yes I too believe that we live on as spiritual beings. I've never tried talking to a deceased loved one however, at least not expecting an answer. I've heard of such things but I've never thought much about it. Blessings.

So sorry. I lost a brother back in 2003 to cancer, he was only 45 years old. My dad had a massive heart attack just three weeks later and we lost him as well. 2003 was a very bad year for us. Two of my dad's sisters also passed away that year along with some other family members. Mom's been gone 5 years today. I miss them all.
