Oh gosh yes our hands need a break as it is not good for the physical health of our hands to over work them. We can get carpel tunnel and that is not good as the only thing that helps it is surgery. Which I know a few who still have the same issues even after their surgery. Take several breaks as damage sometimes cannot be reversed.

Gosh you have been so busy here in such a short time since you joined I can well believe that your hands are tired and need of rest You must look after them and take breaks. Your eyes will suffer too if you stay too long at the computer. Hey you can already use the smilies too, well done!

Just don't overdo it. If you have to take a break because your hands aretoo sore to type, then all of your hard work will have gone to waste

Hi In that case you better take rest. It will be cool down soon. About me I guess I used to of it.. As I am in programming field most of the day I used to do that typing process. So no more pain for me.

Yeah I kinda get tired of typing too if I've been typing a lot. Sometimes my fingers start feeling tingly too. I think it's common with regular computer users and typists. It's just that we're overworking our fingers. Resting for a bit should help.

That's right, rest your hand once in a while. Do not overdo the typing, lest it gets numb. Also, try to rest your hands first for about 30 minutes before washing it. Or better yet, you can wash it with warm water. That way, the nerves will not be affected in a bad way.

In Toy Story 2, many Pixar employees got Repetitive Stress Injury because they had to rework the stuff in 9 months, and one actually had to leave the field altogether because his hands were ruined. That sort of story just gets you to think what the computer really would do to you.

Since my work requires that i always type at my laptop , i would once in a while would stop and squeeze a soft ball just to exercise my hands. I try to rest them for at least 30 minutes before i need to wash them, say for example for lunch. That way, i keep my hands from getting stiff.

I totally agree with you...because I also do a lot of work on the computer and spend at least 15 hours a day....There are softwares which recognize the voice and you don't have to type anything instead u only talk on the microphone whatever u have to type and the software does the work for you..... though they are little expensive...The best I know is Dragon. May be u can give a try...I think it is available as trial version also...so give it a try.....:) You definitely need to rest your hands or might end up with carpal tunnel.....God Bless!
