Do You Think myLot's Popularity Can Ever Match Facebook?

It's possible, but there's a very slim chance.Facebook has been recognised worldwide as the "king" of social networking. It actually slammed down MySpace and Friendster. Though Facebook is the "champion" of all networking sites. There are thing's myLot can offer that Facebook can't. MyLot's extensive discussion's is a great ground for mental stimulation, mind expansion and a great exercise for logic and intuition. And the great thing about these is you are compensated on every meaningful idea you write. The main concept actually is, you are getting paid on the things you love to express through writing.You can express "anything under the sun" here. While Facebook format is more of instant access to communicate your personal friends, even on the other side of the planet. Actually, I'm like comparing apples to oranges.

Yes, I believe it can match facebook someday. I was using Friendster before then I transferred to facebook. Now, I'm using mylot. More and more people are turning to mylot because it rewards you for your activities.

That might happen 3 to 7 years till now. And there's no guarantee. Mylot only have 200,000+ users. Facebook is do have almost a billion users. However, I rate mylot better than facebook since i can express my thoughts here while getting paid. It's a win-win offer Facebook doesn't have.

Why not? Well, That is true myLot and facebook are two different popular site. But in myLot you can share anything with payment unlike to facebook that you only wasting your time there. I mean that is not really worth for your time.

I think mylot is better. The reason is that it pays, and facebook doesn't pay. You don't get anything from looking at the pictures of your friends. Facebook is actually used for communication, especially long distance. But that can be done also here in mylot. The only problem is that my friends couldn't really understand it that way. Maybe someday they will.

They are two different things. Facebook is all about friends and family. Mylot is universal. You connect with people from different parts of the world. I don't think that in terms of popularity Mylot can be compared with any site because members here discuss issues. Facebook is more like updating others with our status. It is very personal.

i think it can not be match the popularity of Facebook to Mylot, because there are some features of Facebook that we can not see in mylot, and aside from that the user of Facebook is more that to the user of mylot because some people dont have patient to earn the minimum requirement.

I personally don't find anything unique in facebook when there are other social networking sites as you mentioned also working they are all same.
I always say facebook and twitter have some how managed invite the Celebrities of all fields from all over the world , that is the main reason why these sites are so popular .Everyone wants to join the site no matter whether s/he is exploring its full options but its like a status being on fb or twitter.(twitter is somewhat different though but they adopted the same strategy to invite celebrity on their sites).
Mylot is completely different site.It is much more secure very first.You cant even send inbox message to anyone if s/he is not in your friend list.All you do is in forum and open to everyone.

as much as I love mylot and I'm on both, I have to say that mylot is a different "animal" than facebook
Pretty much anything goes on facebook unless its reported, here the admin keep an eye on what goes on...
There any language is permitted, here is English only.
So, as long as there are people who don't speak English and have no interest in being civil or obeying the mylot rules, (and there's a LOT of them) facebook will have more numbers
More numbers DOES NOT mean its better, you are talking lowest common denominator here - its the problem with network TV too

Probably not because Facebook has huge investors and that is the main reason why larger websites like Facebook are popular. Facebook has been on television countless times and they even made a movie about them. You don't get that kind of air time without money and investors.

I really do not think one way or the other. See for me I prefer myLot but then several others prefer Facebook. Facebook as a growing number of changing and enticing ways to continue to grow. While myLot strives to continually grow the site, they are two completely different types of sites.

its ok you can compare apples to oranges,but can u convince anyone to make apple his favourite,if he likes oranges,there is always different sort of views,different sort of peoples,one person thirsty at that time,so he need water that time,one person hungry that time so he need food that time.

It is quite difficult to compare MyLot with Facebook. Like as you have mentioned, myLot's extensive discussion which fb do not offer is already a big factor.Fb is boring for me though I have an account there. I only open it if there are messages sent. I prefer myLot because it is more personal, brain stimulating and it offers a unique type of service that is sharing of ideas, views, etc.. and a one of a kinf circle of friends:-)
MyLot is a space where varied views and opinions of members are discussed. I like it because there is freedom of expression following some guidelines to preserve its dignity. The most unique with mylot is that , one gets paid by sharing her thoughts, ideas, etc.

Apart from the language different.I want to say another point,that is as personal my lot may bettermcoz you can share you feeling emotion here clearly and other people will join you too,as a comany,especially a trade company,facebook is a great way to get promotion and totally free,also facebook can share the photo very conveniently.

Both sites are a totally different form of social networking site. MyLot provides cashouts for expressing your thoughts and opinions on society and the world, whereas FaceBook is a place to contact friends from around the world, to socialise. I say this with the utmost respect, but myLot will NEVER reach the popularity status of Facebook, and there are many more reasons than what I previously stated.

I do not think you can even compare MyLot and Facebook because they serve a totally differently purpose. If MyLot were like Facebook, I would not be here very much at all. I do not like Facebook.
