do you know some of italy player who had a skillful is very controversial?? some of them is very popular for you... for me, the controversial from number 3 until number 1 are 3. Antonio cassano, he had great talent when roma decide for buying him for Bari..he is one of the best player from Bari...but his controversial make roma too sold him for madrid..and madrid sold him too when cassano can not adapt with spain culture...And sampdoria finally save his career...but cassano once again waste the good service of sampdoria.. 2. Marco materazzi..he is one of the person who very brutality when tackle his opponent..world know him when he provocate Zidane and make Zidane get red card.. 1. for me , the number one is Mario balotelli..he is stupid, ugly and no talented... what about you guys??

These three are indeed very controversial players. Cassano had always a diva attitude and that is why he never reached the high expectations which were made about him, despite having a huge talent. Materazzi was a player which should have been banned from entering the pitch, as he deliberately wanted to injure so many opponents, Shevchenko being one of his top clients. What you said about Balotelli for me it is not true. It is irrelevant if he is ugly or not and we cannot decide this, let women do that. As for not having talent, is not true, as he has a lot of it, but he has a controversial character and his attitude is even more of a diva than Cassano's. As for stupidity, I have never talked with him to know this and there were plenty of stupid players who were great on the field and that is why this characteristic does not count. But there are other very controversial players who have played or still play in the Serie A. One example is Ibrahimovic, who in my opinion, has a similar attitude to Balotelli.

Paulo di Canio was a symbol of Lazio, who admitted being a fascist. He was a favorite of the Lazio Ulras, and he had a similar attitude with them, which made him very controversial. But if you ask any Lazio fan about him, he will have only good words for him.

I have to say that I completely agree with the three choices. Mario Ballotelli is definitely the problem child. He has had problems with all managers at all clubs. He continues to make stupid statements and get into trouble. Marco Materazzi's worst moment as a bad boy was the Zidane incident, but it helped Italy lift the World Cup. But apart from this Marco has got into a lot of incidents as well. Cassano has also had to pay for being mercurial and despite having good talent, he has not been able settle down at a single club long enough to make a mark. Cheers! Ram

I remember a very similar statement made by Ronaldo. He also mentioned that he sleeps with 100 odd women a year or something like that. I do not know when these players will grow up and stop making such stupid statements. Cheers! Ram

cassano waste his huge talent with a stupid statement and stupid doing in field... he even say had sleep with more than 100 womans when he is still 25 years.. what a stupid from a professional player like cassano materazzi is trouble not only for his opponent but for his team and friends..sometimes his stupidity make him get red card and offcourse make his team was lost..what a fool

adhyz82, I believe time changes people and professional soccer players are no exception. The players that you mention have not been performing lately and we cannot really blame them as they have a lot of problems on and off the field. Players' form are usually affected when they age and/or change clubs/coaches, like the prolific Fernando Torres who use to be a notorious scoring machine for Athletico Madrid but look at him today in Chelsea. I am sure you will agree with me that he is far from his former shadow where he could not even score with an open net in the recent match against MU. I do not think we can really have any answers for their degraded performances but I hope that they would not be pathetic and disappoint the fans that support them all the while.

Antonia cassano was once a player from leeds united in england. HE was forced to move when the club went into bankrupcy. HE's indeed a good player, just that those clubs didn't utilised him in the right way, playing in the right position. I agree on Bolatelli too. HE's one arrogant player with no talent but a piece of mouth doing the talking than walking the action.

Balotelli is the most problematic player nowadays..However he is not playing in serie A anymore, he's in manchester city at the moment..I have heard liverpool was interested for casano, even he is controversial but still can contribute if his mood is good..

really?? why liverpool need cassano?? i think liverpool did not learn from the previous when they are getting a dissapointed player like aquilani.. aquilani can`t adapt with the culture of england and it make he is fail in anfield.. and i think cassano can get a same experience with aquilani experience.
