Philippines RH bill issue is undying and truly i can say that it really divides the people in two, the pro and con sides. even the house of the representative is filled with hated debates and grandstanding to support what sides they were. religion made the wave taking the issue far more than political and economic in nature, but swayed others in its conservatism and influence. what i can see more from this issue is the people is taking side sometimes not on what they think is the need of the issue and the for the solution of the problem but in what their religious leader and religion will say. Catholics against the stand of the Non Catholics shore up and we cannot deny the fact that this issue is taking us back again to some serious religious disagreement with each other. My point is why do we let the government move freely to serve its cause and its mandate to serve the people rather than to consider always what this area of consideration which cast influence always and making some costly obstruction and hindrances in meeting the need of the nation. i know there are issues about it even some provision should be taken well to be explained and somehow amend. but for me this issue calls for a radical move to anyway lessen families having so many kids which they could not afford and support even a decent meal. its disheartening to see kids loitering in the streets asking alms for food, and in that skinny and bulge eyes and dirty, soiled greasy skin they will look up to you for a grace and alms..and what is the church is doing about these kids? can they give them their daily sustenance, can they send them to their exclusive schools without money...such a pity..Malthusian theory has been proven ever since.."the more heads to feed means less food for everybody, the less head to feed means more food in its basic concept" even history teach us the same...what side do you stand?

None of it actually. Anyway, the religious sector (especially the catholic religion) is against this bill. Just want to ask why?

I have read the bill through their Facebook page. If you can search for it, you can find the bill posted there and you scan through it. Yes it's long, it's written in English and some terms used are really hard to understand. But it's interesting because I find some portions that aims to protect and give welfare to women and to the Filipino family, that's when I made a stand to be PRO RH Bill. I also have lots of Catholic friends who despite of their religion, chose their side of being PRO to it. Reading the bill would help a lot. I have read on many blogs that at first, they too are against it, but when you get to understand what it is all about, you'll see that this bill, when passed, could contribute to our overall welfare of the citizen of this country.

i think people should take the side that their religion or religious leader says they should their religion will tell them what is best people are ot smart enough to make decisions on their own so they need their religion to tell them what is right and what is wrong the government cannot be trusted to have our best interests at heart the family should be smart enough to see that they cannot afford to have any more children and they should get spayed and neutered and if they dont and continue to have kids then they must suffer the consequences

i am a pro RH bill person because for me it's impractical to have a lot of kids this days because of our economical status... yes, it's also against our beliefs of being a Catholic but we should also see the fact that sooner or later the kids will also suffer because their parents cannot provide them the needs that they may face in the future and we should also realize that children have their rights and one of these is that children have the right to live in a peaceful, loving and a family that can support their daily needs... but still, in the end its still on the hands of the couple whether they want to have a big family or not they just have to bear in mind "Can we support a big family?. There's a lot of aspects parents should think of when in terms of raising or building a family.
