Where do you get ideas from to cook your meals so you don't get bored cooking the same things every week etc? I like ot watch the cooking shows on telly and then print the recipes out off the pc. There are so many cooking shows on the telly now. I like to look at sainsbury's website, good little ideas website just ot name two. I also like to use recipes that have been passed down to me.

Hi ya Anne18 MYLOT! HAHAHAHA I love watching foody programs but rarely cook the things I have seen them make as they tend to be a little bit too advanced for me. Actually most of my recipes I get (and I got a lovely one for white chocolate and cranberry fudge, think I messaged you the recipe before you disappeared from mylot for ages! haha) from supermarket magazines! They are usually quite simple to make and give the precise items you need. Oh good little ideas is a good site and they give you great ideas using stuff you normally have in your cupboard.

That's a really good idea, I should start doing a food planner or something really shouldn't I. I tend to cook the same things over as lately I don't have time to find new things to cook that I think my kids would enjoy and eat. I did see a good idea the other day just for a change, make like a spaghetti bolognaise, mix the pasta and sauce together, put it in an oven proof dish, sprinkle cheese ontop and pop in the oven until the cheese has melted. Just for a change, I might just try that myself!

I ask people who live here what they are hungry for, and we try to do that at least occasionally. I have some favorites I bring up now and again. I look through cookbooks and look online if I see or think of something I might want. I do not watch too many cooking shows, though.

Getting ideas on what to cook week in and week out is really difficult, specially with picky children in the house. Often we resort to the same things over and over again. But once in a while, we pass through The Food Network on TV, and get ideas on what to prepare. To try and see if it's workable to be included in the routine.

I love watching cooking shows . I also love buying recipe book. I try different cuisines so I won't get bored to cook. I also visit some websites and blogs offering a free recipe and I always try them out. It's really good. I learn a lot from them. i had tried to cook Japanese, French, Chinese, Thai, Arabic, and Italian cuisines. My family really loved it.

My husband does the cooking for us. He is a really great cook. He knows what goes together, he's good at it, and he loves it!!! He gets ideas from his friends who send him recipes from all over the world. Our best friend Donald sends us the best recipes from the Southern United States, Germany, and Eastern Europe, especially Russia. Tonight we had a Croatian dish with cabbage and noodles.

Today we can get inspiration about cooking easily. Usually I will visit the cooking blog since the recipes are really attractive. They provide cooking details and with nice photos. Sometimes I will also buy the cooking books as they may be much more professional. And I will also watch the cooking shows from TV. I am a person who enjoys cooking. So I need to upgrade myself now and then:) I love China

Personally I love cooking. I am always experimenting with different foods to try and get a different taste. Most of my inspiration comes from the cooking shows. I love trying the different sauces they make on the shows, but use them with my own choice of meat or side dish. I find a lot of the fish sauces go well with pastas! Also when I am in the grocery store if I see items I wouldn't normally use, I grab them and find out later what to use it in. Sometimes a different spice or two can make a regular meal exciting.

For one I have a paperback book of 101 hamburger recipes. And I love herbs. Reading different information about my favorites I find that they are good with different meats or vegetables so I try them and see which i like. It is fun to try new things and check out recipes i have heard different places.

Sometimes I will get very adventuresome and I will try to make up my own recipes with things that I have in my home. However, I have a lot of recipes that belonged to my grandmother and my aunts that I will pull out and use to prepare dinner and other times I will look at FoodNetwork.com and will pick out recipes that are on there to try to cook for dinner. Sometimes things are wonderful and other times they are things that I will never cook again.

I am lucky to have both training and experience from over 40 years in cooking. I am a trained Home Economist and used to teach catering, so I have lots of ideas in my head for cooking different meals. I also watch lots of TV cooking programmes and get recipes of the internet, I actually have a website of my own with low fat recipes on, it is http://oldchem.health.officelive.com/ProPoints.aspx
