I found it is a good way to learn english to listen the dialogue between two people. The dialogue will attract us more, and it has more short sentences than the world news. I think it is better for the beginner. what is your views?

Whichever language one wishes to learn there should be someone to point out if there are mistakes made. Initially you could go online and learn the basics and then speak with some one and be in touch with someone who knows the language.

Thanks for your views. I totally agree with you on that point. In face, it is very difficult to be friends with the foreigner, because we have different couses and different dormitories. Fortunately, I found this website mylot a few months ago, and now I go into mylot almost everyday. Thanks to all the mylotters.

English is a hard language to learn so the best way to learn it is to practise, a very good way to do this is to watch English TV programs that way you can see how the words are pronunced. If you start to read English newspapers that will also help you help learn quicker.

Listening is the groundwork in learning a foreign language. Think about the way how a child starts to learn his native language. It starts with listening to people talking without their special attention to it. Then gradually when they grow up, they start to imitate what they hear and open their mouth to speak the language to express their own ideas when they want to get something. So that is why listening is the groundwork followed by speaking, reading and writing. Thanks for the nice discussion.
