I've been doing my computer work on my very reliable desktop but since technology has changed so much, I bowed to the demand of my work. I am now using my first ever laptop, my LG Xnote. I am still getting the feel of it specially my hands and the use of touch screen. I am more comfortable with a mouse but my daughter insists that I get away from it s much as possible. But no, I am a stubborn woman I still use my mouse. I think it will take sometimes before I really get used or familiar with my laptop. How about you,are you more comfortable with a laptop or a desktop? Me, I think If things comes worst especially with my typing, I'll go back to my dear desktop.

Well for convenience sake laptop would be the best since you can still use a mouse for that but when it comes to technical problems, desktop is the best because laptops are so difficult to repair unlike desktops...

Yes, my brother is both a graphic artist and does computer repair. He has already experiences fixing a laptop and desktop and he would rather recommend somebody to own a desktop than a laptop cause true laptops are too delicate and if longevity is your concern, truly a desktop is the best and yes he just upgrades the pc for that...my other brother who's a computer programmer has been using laptop and now he's changing it into desktop...if he's away from home with a wifi environment then he brings his laptop but when he's at home he uses desktop.

Yes you are right. My husband is my repair man for my desktop but I thikn he will not dare touch a laptop just to see if he can fix it. It's too delicate unlike our desktop which has served us for more than seven years, we only upgrade it and add new gadgets on it. Thanks for this foe this useful insights.

I do have a PC, laptop and a netbook as well. I find that the laptop for me is much more convenient as I am able to move it anywhere I can. I also use a wireless keyboard and mouse when I am at home with the laptop as I find it to be easier as my hand tend to touch the pad more then I care and not easy to control the cursor being all over the screen. My laptop sits up on a table stand so it actually functions like a PC.

I am using desktop as well as laptop. At work and at home, of course, I have the desktops. But, when I travel on my business trips, which I often do withing the country and overseas, I carry along my laptop to keep in touch with the people back home and to work on business related matters. Don't worry. You will get comfortable with the laptop after a while.

lol I love LG products, and I didn't know that they made laptops. I have had two lg phones, my second one actually has a keypad with alphabet like a blackberry, where can I find more information on this laptop?

I am also not aware of LG laptop and I was planning to buy Samsung Sen 30 but I fell in love with this LG XNote. You can search it and you'll find info about LG laptops. Mine is gray , about 2.4 kilos with standard keyboard and windiw XP.

Good for you my dear to start with the laptop but I start using computer since 1996 and desktop is what I am most comfortable. How I wish laptop is already in that time when I am starting my career! I have gone three generation of transition form electric typewriter to desktop computer than laptop!

hahaha for me i take into consideration the convinience factor. I have both a laptop and desktop at home. Actually i really love my desktop, makes playing games and typing to watching movies and youtube videos all much better, that makes me enjoy the desktop. Cause the screen is so big, but being a student, it is essential to have a laptop in order to do my project work, so yea im more comfortable on my desktop but inevitably i have to use the lappy :)

yeah you're right, laptop is a necessity for students like you. My daughter has her notebook which she says is very dependable. I guess preferences differ or one to another and the bottom line here is all is embracing new technology as a way of life.

You will get along just fine in no time. When i had my first laptop it at first i got very irritated because i am used to using desktop computer but overtime i began to appreciate and really like it especially because i can bring it anywhere. The keyboard is softer than a regular desktop computer so typing becomes a breeze. :)

I have both but most of the time, I use my desktop since it has a larger screen. When it comes to typing, I really prefer a standard sized keyboard.

technology has changed alot and i think it has changed for the worse most people prefer to use the laptop compared to a desktop computer now a days but i am the complete opposite i prefer to use the desktop rather than a laptop i like the button on the keyboard better on the desktop and i still use my mouse also i hate that little touch pad thing for the mouse on the laptop i could never get the hang of it for some reason i can type better on the desktop computer and i dont make as many mistakes on it and i am faster

Just like you I am comfortable using my desktop but my daughter insists that I should try new ways as cyber world is always bringing in new technologies and I must cope up with it. Yeah, I still love my ever dependable desktop but now I must get along with my laptop!

I have a desktop and a laptop and I used to prefer the laptop because my desktop was really slow. But now that I formated it, it's fast and I really prefer my desktop. Is so much better and more comfortable. I'm going so many times to my desktop that I don't know now how to move with my touchpad... LOL Rod

same with me that's why I still use my little "mouse". My laptop is as fast as my desktop and the keyboards is the standard size. Maybe I am just a dummy when it comes to technology. I am not too young of course and motor reflex is not that good!
