Dexter (series) - my favorite serial killer

I just recently watched CSI Las Vegas Season 1 and I can no longer find my season 2. I stumbled on this television series called Dexter based from a novel of Jeff Lindsay.
It is about Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a bloodstain pattern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer. Dexter structures his killing around "Harry's code", a body of ethics and procedures devised by his adoptive father Harry Morgan (who was a Miami cop) to make sure Dexter never gets caught and to ensure that Dexter kills only morally wrong people.
I've been watching this season 1 and it is pretty enjoying. I never thought that I would like a series that has a serial killer as the main star.

yes, i've watched this show and really enjoy it. yes, it is a very dark show and their is some guilt i feel about watching it. its definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. i've seen all of season 1 and 2. i can't really say which season i like best but they are both awesome in my opinion. i've been meaning to rent season 3. season 2 goes in a very different direction. you might be surprised at how season 2 ends up. the show definitely isn't predictable which makes it even better. sometimes its just too dark of a show for me to watch though if somethings getting me down.

I'm currently watching season 4 right now and I'm enjoying it. You describe it right, the series is kind of dark. But it is really hilarious. Dexter is one of the best fictional character.

i've never seen this show although i have heard really good things about it, and i know people who are completely addicted with it!
is it along the same lines as csi then? i adore csi.. can't get enough of it.. although i find the new york one to be a bit boring sometimes because they can be quite similar lol!

The main character works as a blood spatter analyst. He's working in Homicide department of Miami Metro. Mostly they analyze crime scenes. In a very intriguing and enjoying way.

I love dexter. My husband started watching this show on netflix many years ago. I watched all 3 seasons with him. I got a subscription to blockbuster online and started watching dexter season 5. I am on the third disc of season 5 and oh my gosh I truly hope that I can get the other few discs in the season to watch before my subscription runs out on September 1st which is 15 days away.

I did wind up watching the whole 5th season of dexter and one more movie while I had the blockbuster subscription. I think the trinity killer was in season 5 I'm pretty sure I remember that. It was such an awesome season. I wish I had the whole set of seasons on cd.

I am not sure what season it is but my personal favourite is with the Trinity killer. He is the best antagonist in the series as he is a family man as well. And Dexter did not expect that he will get back at him.

I love this series but was disappointed to find that his secret kinds gets out too soon...I haven't watched it lately because it's only on pay per view here in Australia...once I move, I am thinking about buying the series (all of them to date) on ebay or another place.

My boyfriend got me to watch the first episode of Dexter today. It's his favorite TV show ever and I'm sure it's going to become one of my favorites, too. I love the dark humor it has, and the music choices are fantastic. I can't wait to watch more next time I go over to his house. :]

haha most of the shows i watch are because my partner makes me watch them lol! although i'm the one that got her into csi! for some reason she had thought it was a sci-fi thing hahah!!

I enjoyed the opening music as well. I love it when Dexter is talking to himself. He's really funny when he is trying so hard just to fit in.

The new season of Dexter is really good. Unlike the previous season which is bit boring. The new one is really cool as his sister is already aware that he is a serial killer and she is watching him 24/7 not to commit another murder.

i loved this series when i had showtime channel. so is it back on with new shows? i no longer have that channel and will now miss it. is it where he has a little boy and step kids? then its new.

Yes in the fourth season, he already had a cute kid. It is like he's beginning to feel like a human being haha . I love this series as well. There's only few episode per season so you will finished it in no time.

I have only watched Dexter a couple of times and it does require an open mind! It is really good and psychologically challenging because here we like a serial killer but sickened and disapproving of his actions all the same time. It is a very cleaver series and the leading actor is brilliant.

Wow I don't know that there is Stargate series. I watched the movie when I was young and it was once of my favorite. There's a lot of series that i would love to watch.

Dexter is a show of Showtime right? I haven't watched a single episode yet but I might. I heard the character is funny, witty and charming but a murderer at the same time. It's kind of twisted if you ask me, but I might just watch it. Anyway, it's just TV. not real life, right?

Yes it is in Showtime. The character is funny and very witty. I'm sure it is not for kids since there's a lot of mature contents there.

Season 6 just recently started. I love this show. I can't believe that Dexter and Debra became couples in real life.

I have read that they are already divorced. Is it true that Dexter has a cancer in real life? But good thing it was already healed. Season 6 is my least favorite season I guess.
