As we know in india cricket is treated as religious mainly the guys are the big crazy of the cricket and i'm on the top in the crazy list of cricket and we are desperate to see every single bowl of the match but girls or women are not big fan of it as they don't get the time from serial(daily soap) to look after the cricket. In our family when there is cricket going on then a battle starts between me and mom she didn't like to see cricket much use to see the serial and i'm dying heart of cricket so definitely there is issue of quarreling as there is only one tv in home, many times my mom win in this battle and i have to go friend house to watch the match. In many family there is tiff between husband and wife when there is cricket telecast on tv.. so friends this thing happen in your house also..?

It happens in almost all houses -- there will be conflict over preferences. When there is no cricket match the fight will be to watch tv serial or news. Whenever your mother wants tv for serial leave it to her and watch scores in internet cricinfo.com

HAhah... my friend you are right cricket is also a reason to fight with the family members mostly the quarrel because of cricket in between me and my silent, shy, cute, angry husband they wants to see cricket and I wants to see Hansi ka Mukabala haa...means laughing competition which is never display in TV..

Hi siliguri, As long as I am not watching any such kind of ‘tears serials’ there is no such quarrel is going on in my home. I do get annoyed at times when my hubby watches the cricket in late night, it is a truth but I won’t interfere with his choice. (Kids won’t sleep if there is light in any room and they want to get up early for the school) In my last visit to native place, I seen the same quarrel and laughed a lot really. That time the IPL was going on and at 9.00 PM a serial is running which is favourite of all women at each and every home (I understood from many home all are infront of the TV to watch this particular serial). There was a quarrel often in between the male members and female members though it is not serious.

In my house too such a thing happens, but it's not for cricket. It's due to cartoon network. My son, after school, he takes charge of the remote and start watching the TV, just browsing through lot of channels like HungamaTV, Pogo, CartoonNetwork, Disney and few other toon channels. My wife, just keeps her patience until her favorite premiers show up. Then the mess begins. (Me, instead of watching the TV, I find it interesting to watch those two quarrel.) On my interception, my son gives the remote to my wife and starts playing with the ball. Until I intervene, the quarrel goes on. I prefer to watch HBO, Star Movies and Movies Now, but rarely find time to watch them. Whenever I find time, there happens to be a favorite toon of my son, so I just let him.

surely Cricket is big factor that make quarell for TV remote, in many homes. For the cricket lovers we wish to watch every single ball, and others, say what causes if you miss a ball? As there will be at least one in every home who watches cricket, the quarrel will always happen.

The best way to solve this problem is that there should 2 TV at home so that one can see their favourite program in another tv without disturbing one... Thanks buddy for the response

Though I am not at all a cricket lover but I have not faced this problem in my family because my husband is a cricket hater and he never watches any cricket match on the television.
