Oh, For Crying Out Loud. What Do You Mean It Was Adjourned?

So, we got to the court house on time, walked there from here, and were informed that the stupid thing was adjourned until the middle of October, so about two and a half weeks from now. They said they did not have time to inform us because it just happened. In this day and age of instant communication, don't give me that line. They had my cellphone number. I am annoyed!!!!

That sucks. A similar thing happened to me. I went to get a prescription filled but was told by the poharmacist that there were no repeats on it. So they faxed the doctor, and faxed, and faxed... No reply. Finally, yesterday, when they faxed yet again, the doctor said no, I have to come in for the prescription. Why couldn't she have said that a week ago?

Personally I would be annoyed if this was me as well. In this day and age there are many forms of communication a person could have, and the Big problem continues to be that many people do not want to use them. It would be nice if there was an easy way to make sure people could pick up the phone more and communicate instead of getting there to find something out, or thru someone else, and then wonder am I really not that important?

I don't blame you....that stinks. They could have found someway to contact you! Hopefully this will be the only delay.

I would be very annoyed as well. It is like they think your time is not worth a thing and do not care if you were inconvenienced.

That is maddening. I remember driving 40 minutes in heavy traffic to get to a doctor appointment, only to have them say the doctor couldn't come in today. When asked why they didn't call me and tell me that before I left my home, they said they were busy and just couldn't manage to call the patients.

I agree. That is very uncalled for. They have an excuse for everything but we better not try to use any.

danishcanadian, I am sure they will be resourceful when it is a landmark hearing or there's a hefty payout. It is simply no excuse case for this foul up especially when we can be reachable at all times.

How rude is all I can say!! they could have at least pared you 5 mins to call you to let you know! I guess I could say typical government but our hard earned taxes pay for their wages so they could at least do their jobs right!

Yes I would be extremely annoyed as well and there really are no excuses. Sadly they are not thinking of the people as a whole, just about what they need to do next. A quick call and or text could avoid messes as court itself on a daily basis I am sure is quite a mess to begin with. So you are right no absolute excuse why a 1 minute call could not have happened. Now if we inconvenience them, watch it they will be all over us.
