How many Friends Vs Family is on your Facebook?

my friends occupy 80% of my facebook page than my family and relatives. i think one reasons of this is that they don't have a facebook account, or they don't have an internet connection at home. I dont usually communicate with my relatives on facebook because there is no need for that we often see each other and talk with each other. some of cousins in abroad we use facebook as the gadget for communication with each other. i might have time chatting with my friends on FB because we dont see each other often. its some how saying Hi. Hello and how are you? catching things up.

I am very grateful for Mark Zukenberg creating Facebook.I have been in contact with a lot of people that have have known for a lot of years,not as long or met on Facebook.The person that I have known the longest that is a friend of mine on Facebook is someone that I have known for over 50 years......my mother.:)And there are many other relatives that I have known for a long time on there that I can talk to them without making long distance phones calls.And see pictures of my family and friends. I also have been able to touch base with friends that I knew in high school and were my former neighbors that I have not seen in over 30 years.I also do genealogy and I have found many distant relatives on Facebook. I have a lot of relatives,but probably have more people on my list that I have met on Facebook and other friends.

I probably have more friends, but I'd say I have almost as much family. Our family is spread out all over the east coast so facebook helps us stay in touch. I have a lot of distant cousins that I don't talk to much but at least I have them on here and we can kind of keep up with each others lives.

just my younger brother has facebook account, my parent don't have any and some cousin and niece. most of at facebook is my friend.

I read 100 tips about doings things in the internet. One of them says that you can invite or join your parents or family in Facebook. I have a lot friends on my Facebook, but no one relatives or Family member.

the main essence of these social networking sites was that you remain in contact with your most distant friends.But in the recent times these sites became so popular that people started refraing themselves from socialising and instead using facebook to add those many people whom they meet regularly.It was basically a role reversal from physical socialising to virtual socialising .All in all it did some damage,like people became less social ,the importance of physical activity diminished. so my main idea of telling you all was this that we should maintain balance in using facebook ,dont let it get on to your head and use it whenever you like ,thses sites were made to be in contact with friends who were so allof that you cant talk to them daily.Therefore i n my opinion people should add only those friends whom they rarely meet,I mean that with whom it si dificult to interact on a daily basis,distant family members,relatives living in diffrent countries,even in my facebook account i only have friendsand relatives to whom i cant talk daily .And i refrain myslf from adding people whom i dont know
