My little cousin was murdered last April. He was a pizza delivery boy. this is why im so concerned with this job. I do hope everyone is careful with this job. in my home town, i guess he thought cause he knew everyone he was safe. but these days we are no longer safe any where it seems. it was really gruesome and so sad. http://www.wsaz.com/home/headlines/120892979.html#.ToWtwMUD0l4.facebook Link to the headlines. NOT A REFERRAL link. its for the discussion. anyway his birthday was the 14th of september and it was a lovely video of the family visiting his grave and letting the balloons go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijCQwjfiGFQ&feature=player_embedded what a video. Do you have family in a dangerous job? this was the sweetest guy. always smiling, always helpful. what a tragedy.

I'm sorry about your cousin. It's not the job that's dangerous there are to many crazy a$$wholes (excuse my language) for walking around the streets killing other people for no reason. I hope whoever killed him pay some really big consequences.

Thank You for sharing and it will be passed on to my grandchildren. Just this past weekend it was announced and also placed on Facebook that two males were reported to have tried coaxing a boy from the Catholic school division play ground. Fortunately the boy ran. What is the world coming to? I am very sorry for your loss. Far too much of this is going on. Thank You once again for posting.

It is a shame that we can no longer be safe just doing what used to be, everyday things that you did and didn't think a thing about. It is so sad that you lost your cousin this way.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. What a horrible thing. There are no safety measures with such a job. You take chances. My husband, who is retired, works a part time job delivering flowers. You never know if you will run into a homicidal maniac, with any job, honestly. He actually worked in a more dangerous job when he was with his regular job, with a utility company. First, he used to work with high voltage electricity, and later on went into collections, in bad neighborhoods, but he never worked alone. That was a safety measure. Delivery people should not work alone.

Sorry for your loss. However I do not think it was his job that was dangerous, but the company he was keeping. He chose the wrong friends. I did read the news article and it said something about pain pills. So was your cousin in an accident and had to take medication or was he in the military and got a medical discharge?

They may have mistaken him for someone else, like a user. I did think that he may have been in an accident and had to use pills. Bjut it is more likely that it was a mistake.

I used to deliver pizzas. I really liked the job, but there were times that I didn't feel comfortable doing it. The first time I quit doing it, I had been working for a store in Riverside California and I had no problem most of the time. After I heard that a young manager had been shot in an armed robbery in his store, I quit working in the job. I couldn't deal with that. It is really sad when people go and don't take care of themselves in that kind of job. There is never a guarantee that a job will be safe, but when you get involved in wrongdoing on top of it then that is a recipe for disaster. Thanks for sharing! Happy thanksgiving!!!

im glad you realized to quit. i dont know what the problem was with Garrett. maybe it was a misunderstanding or maybe he was into something. he just never seemed the type or to be on anything. very normal young man

As far as getting into something, young men do seem to do that a lot and think they will never get caught. My nephew was that way. I don't know that he ever got into any legal trouble, but I do know that he was often secretive when he was doing things and it bothered me. I hope the family is dealing well with the loss. Have a great weekend!!!

Bunny, I am so sorry to hear about the tragic murder of your nephew. He was so young and did not deserve to die in that manner. The tribute the family did was very beautiful. It was obvious that he was very loved and that your family misses him a lot. I pray that your family has peace over this horrific situation.

I'm sorry for the unusual loss of one of your family members. It was really a great misery on your part. Anyway the culprits should have to pay what they did to your little cousin. It's touching to see that he had many friends attending his birthday. We really do not know when our lives will be taken from us and how these are taken. Hope that the culprits will be sentenced soon.

that is really sad. i'm sorry to hear that. my condolences to you and your relatives bunny. i think whichever job we would have there is always danger and we all should take care of ourselves wherever we might be. danger is always around so we just have to be faithful and we should always pray.

sorry to hear that. and the pain can touch me,too. you mentioned that your cousin is a just a pizza delivery boy, why he was be killed? and who did it? And I wonder in your town, what kind of the job really is? because in my town, this job is quite safe and without any risks. hope the fact and truth will be found as soon as possible and the crime be sent to prison for what damn thing he has done.
