adhyz82, I feel that you should not let a little setback like this affect you to loose your logic and affect your self confidence. Your concerns are not at all baseless but I am sure you can agree with me that it could be prevented and/or avoided with paying some attention to details especially on safe internet habits. Working in an internet cafe or even public library is not an issue when you do not try to access your personal sites or type your personal passwords with strangers or friends even watching you. Also, I believe that internet cafes and public libraries have certain safety measures on their computers starting with a restoration software pre-installed in their sets. Another precaution would be to lock your work station when you need to step away even as temporary as a washroom break. Or, you can always logged off your email accounts. On the other aspect, you may need to install a safer web browser like Firefox (latest version) than use the default Internet Explorer browser provided by the OS. Even when you are working with computers in the public where you can download it in your thumb drive to install onto the workstation you are working on. So, stop worrying and frighten yourself unnecessarily.

I’ve had an account hacked before and it is unnerving but I refuse to let it deter me from enjoying the Internet! I appreciate how you feel but if you change all your passwords, ensure your network is secure and take the utmost care while surfing the Net you will more than likely find that something like this will never happen to you again.

we do have to be careful. Fear is certainly there. But, as long as we are careful, such a possibility can be reduced. You should be careful when using your email in a public place. I rarely use the internet in public places, so I can slightly feel safe with all my data. But I still will continue to be careful, although I always use phone, to open email, I never store id, or password.

Every time you visit particular sites like : your email provider, Paypal or else ; see on right bottom of your page. You gonna see yellow locker security. If this locker change his color (usually in yellow - red color) it mean your connection is not secure. Close that page and try again. If you not do that there is possibility that someone else can see your activity (your password for example). (Off topic) by the way, for your question about how to contact Yahoo Administrator, You can see the answer on your other discussion.

For your first question is already answer in your other discussion. For your second question, If you log-in on Paypal or your email address, just look on right bottom of the page. If you can't see the locker it mean you had problem on your browser. This happen to me once and I have to reinstall my browser.

I also sometimes feel scared, because I too have experienced adverse events with the Internet. You should be careful when opening email in a public place. Make sure you've logged off, and your password is not saved. Despite using my own computer, I always logout email, or sites that I go, and make sure I did not save the password and user name.

I hope your frightened not overload .... in internet use, indeed we must give priority to security such as with often delete cache on browse which us using and perform virus checks on laptop/ PC. If you use internet in the cafe or public area, don't open or access the websites related with information our money. This is very dangerous and very risky

Hi adhyz: I'm sorry for hearing this my friend. I have read your previous discussion and I think you probably feel too worried for the terrible impact of been stolen. I agree that you better not login in public places because so many people access there so there's a big risk that someone try to access your site. I'm sure you can find online tutorials that will help you to protect your private information. Don't feel afraid, you just need to learn from this bad experience. ALVARO

I don't think that this web is so frightfull. I use internet at home and at work but I've heard that the internet caffes are good places, maybe even more secure. I've had a nasty problem onlly once when my email account was hacked. But it was my fault. I received a fake mail wanting me to give my password and I did it. What a shame! After that I had to struggle to have my account back. But it was not a sophisticated attack and most of the cases are similar. So just chill out!

I've never accessed any of my accounts from elsewhere except for my desktop and my phone. Even if i have my notebook with me, i won't be using in internet cafes, especially when i'm overseas because i don't know how secure is their network. I don't want to jeopardise whatever i'm used to, having to start anew, causing inconvenience to myself and all my friends.

I am so sorry to hear this. I don't have a solution but I am very sympathetic..I don't know why some people are so nasty to make others lives uncomfortable and even to harm others.. I hope karma takes care of them
