How Did These Television Series Actually Made It To The Screen?

I've just watched a few new premiers and I just have to ask around how derogatory meaningless series like Unforgetable, Web Therapy and Death Valley could make it into our living rooms today. Now, I do respect that one man's meat (tv series) may be another man's poison (sorry for the gender) but on that I apologize and you are welcome to sound your disapproval. Otherwise, support the cause and let it be known. 1. Unforgettable Synopsis: A detective thriller - Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), a former police detective that has a memory that is flawless and can remember every place, person and thing. However, there is one thing that she can’t remember - the details that could solve her sister’s murder that happened a long time ago. Carrie has tried everything she could do to put it behind her, but when she is reunited with her ex-boyfriend Al Burns (Dylan Walsh) and partner when she is a consultant in homicide case. Personally: To be honest, I really do not know what's so interesting when the storyline is both predictable and confusing. With all the repeated playbacks as she makes her recalls for the case and her sister's murder, the title is just a misfit. Advice: I wouldn't waste a minute unless you like having virtual jigsaw puzzles and constant flashbacks (awfully a lot - to reach the annoy scale, if I may add). Not worth my (our) time. Death Valley Synopsis: The series follows the Undead Task Force (UTF), a newly formed division of the LAPD, as they are being filmed by camera news crew Channel 5 documentary-style, as they capture the monsters that roam the streets of San Fernando Valley in California. I cannot even be bothered to name who is who a.k.a. cast here. Personally: I could not believe the production or the entire crew which just seems like a bunch of wannabes from village idiot. Not even close to a home made video disaster with a bunch of actors or actresses trying a hand on gory violence and profanities. Advice: This series comes with a warning of violence and gore from me. I am surprised that it was not even PG rated. But, I'll add this: "Don't even waste your electricity over this!" If you are fan for horror series, a better alternative will be "The Fades" which is a real smacker and your time worthy. Web Therapy Synopsis: I have been a Lisa Kudrow fan until I saw this series which she becomes a paranoid Dr. Fiona Wallice who became sick of hearing about "dreams" and "feelings". She then decides 3 minutes over web cam is better than 50 minutes of patients rambling on. Yes, you heard me - pure ramblings about some made up pent ups, fantasies or whatever for 21 minutes. Personally: Not a joke, but I feel I need a therapy after watching it. You may want to convince or enlighten me otherwise. But, I really need a session with a shrink if I were to watch another episode. Advice: Don't even touch that remote and I wouldn't even watch it even if it is the only series on television. So much for my rants, but I suppose you are entitled to yours now. Anything to add or ramble against me here?

I haven't heard any of the series u have presented here. I am not so fanatic of series, except Glee and One Tree Hill on the first few episodes... What I think made these series into screen is the thought of just filming it. And maybe the story is right but the actors are not right for the role. Maybe the production has limited budget to produce such unwanted series.

I haven't heard of the first two, but I've heard of 'Web Therapy' and nothing but horrible things about it. I'm sure these shows will not return for a 2nd season.

I too have not heard of the first two at all. The third one Web Therapy I saw a clip of it on Regis and Kelly. Not really interesting to me and I don't even know when its on. They will most likely be canceled before Thanksgiving or Christmas. The Playboy Club show on NBC has already been canceled. I was not interested in that show either. I think as for new shows this season there is not much of anything really good except for the X-Factor, Whitney and Prime Suspect. I'm hoping that Pan Am gets canceled because they took off Brothers and Sisters to put on such a stupid airplane show that has been done before and didn't do good back in the day.
