How effective is Medicinal Plants or Herbs as remedy for our common ailment?

The prices of manufactured drugs now a days are high. Medicinal plants are proven to be effective for our common ailments and water therapy can enhance the healing effectiveness of medicinal plants. Here are some examples of medicinal plants that can cure certain ailments: 1. Acute and chronic cystitis - cystitis is the inflammation of the urinary bladder, characterized by painful andscanty urination. Herbal Medication: Sambong leaves (Elumea/Ngaicamphor) Boil 1 cup of chopped fresh leaves in 2 glasses of water for 15 min. Dosage: Adults: 1/2 cup, 3 times daily, 7-12 yrs. 1/4 cup, 3 times a day. 2. Cough - productive cough due to congestion and bronchitis. Herbal Medication - Lagundi leaves (Five leaved chaste tree) Boil 4 tbsp. of chopped dried leaves og 6 tbsp. of chopped fresh leaves in 2 glasses of water for 15 min. Dosage: Adult: 1/2 cup, 3 times a day Children: (Babies) 1 tsp., 3 times a day (2-6yrs.)2tbsp., 3 times a day (7-12 yrs. old), 1/4 c, 3 times a day 3. Hyper acidity - is the excessive secretion of acid in the stomach which may be due to tension, starvation, and other causes. Herbal medication - Carrot and cabbage juice. Wash and slice in small pieces one big carrot and 1/4 kilo cabbage. Osterize the carrots and cabbage with 2 glasses of water. Strain and add 1 tbsp. sugar. Sugar is optional. Keep in refrigerator to cool. Prepare for 1 day supply only. Drink 1 glass of the carrot and cabbage juice 30 min. before meals, and when there is gastric pain.
