Muddy

I had a job to keep a staight face when one of my neighbours told me about her recent touring holiday. She and her husband were driving down a narrow country road flanked by hedgerows. After they had stopped and asked some locals for directions to a camp site they took a wrong left hand turn and drove through the open gates of a very very muddy field. Firstly they thought it was very funny but there laughter turned to horror when they found the car had become stuck fast in the mud. My neighbours husband had to go in search of the farmer of the field, once found and a very muddy husband the farmer eventually towed them out with his shiny new tractor. Has your car ever got stuck in the mud?

I've never been stuck in the mud before. That must have been a great hassle. Not to mention all the cleaning you have to do after the getting-stuck problem.

Oh my goodness. This story brings back some memories. When I was married my ex and I liked to go for drives. He loved to go in the most forsaken, scarey spots imaginable. I would tell him "You're going get stuck!" But he would go any way. I can remember three different times we got stuck. And ofcourse he would want me to get out and slosh around in the mud and try to help hom. Ugh!

Haha, yeah that would be difficult to keep a strait face with that picture painted in your mind. As she recalls her muddy adventure to you, it rolls along in your head as if you are watching a movie and it would be a comedy. You only see such things in humorous comedies. So you did good by not laughing at her. To answer your question if I have ever gotten into such a 'mess" no I have not and I am so glad! I would be so grossed out. I hate mud!

It is horrible to have stuck in the muddy country road. I remember years ago, when I was riding my bike on the muddy road after rain, I was spilled a lot of mud on me. And it was difficult to ride my bike as it easily got stuck in the mud. Take care, Anne.

Oh yes. One time when I was younger, a bunch of us took this old beat up car that I had out in the woods 4-wheeling. It wasn't a 4 wheeler but... Anyway it was early spring and still very cold out and muddy as well. I was in the middle of the woods with a bunch of guys and my car got stuck in the mud. It took us forever to get out. I remember having to pee really bad and holding it forever because I did not want to get out and find a spot in the freezing cold to go.

It is kind of funny at first if you think about it, but knowing the fact that you are stuck can be a bit scary. Luckily for me that has never happened and I hoping that I never go through that experience. I am a very panicy person, so I would probably start freaking out very fast.

This must have been very embarrassing for them! I have never gotten stuck in the mud and hope it never happens. Sounds so dirty and messy! My girls would probably think it funny though.
