boy band and girl band is not rare for me, since boyzone, BSB, n'SYNC, and etc. but strange, in my country, almost all of people get an korean fever, boy band and girl band. many teen create girl band and boy band without enough skill to sing.
it not false to became fans of boy band or girl band, but sing without enough skill in vocal group?

Looks like you are disturbed by the boyband, and girlband who are rampant in our country. Quality is very necessary, but the producers only see the interest in the market. Incidentally interest in the market, is leading to a boyband, and girlband. Ability problem, did not once cared for, as long as they appear, and famous. If indeed they do not have the quality, it will soon fade.

you right. actually, we must shy cause now we don't have singer with good quality, only few of them. compare it with era 90, where we have full of good skill of singer and band, we have good name in asia.

not really too. we can see international market. don't just watch indonesian market. how can our song before 2005 can go international? after that years, we just follower. king of own country? that no false, but plagiate without enough skill? that problem.

Does boy/girl bands necessary need vocal skills? They could do musical instruments, too! Or if they could dance well, they deserve some support.
But if you mean getting paid as a singing boy/girl band, then I think they should get people who have talent, or at least capable of being trained as a member of a singing group.
I agree with you on one note. It's not wrong to idolize not very talented groups, but their fans should at least acknowledge the fact that their idols are not as good as they think they are.

you right, but what happen if hey doesn't have a good talent in how singing in group? moreover about dance?
if about idol life, i don't care. but this is about their job. they must know their skill before they take the job. if not, they must learn it.

I do very much enjoy listening to music of other countries and cultures. I have also listened to Korean music. Yes, indeed, I like it very much too. I would say Korean music is really very unique and very enchanting. I like watching Korean movies too.

for a boy band or girlband from korea, i like their music. but for they band, i still confuse, what is the line of their band music? that rock? pop? jazz? they combined all of line of music became a one song.that more like mixing than emotion.

korean song have their own unique melody and rythm, it's different for the other country, for example with their neighbor japan. It make their liked by people. Because its unique.
for the "plagiat" boyband and girlband on our country, it's make me sad, it's prove they doesn't have creativity. But, it's for MONEY and BUSINES!!! then, you can not do anything if it about MONEY.... lol

Hi henkipranada! I think the main reason for that, it's because most Korean people love music. I myself like to hear Korean songs. Though i don't understand its lyrics but i like to hear its rythm and melody. Even in my country, Korean songs are very popular too and some FM stations are playing there songs from time to time. :-)

yup, korean girl band and boy band have a good talent, they have good voice and smart at dance. but many people follow them without enough skill, especially in my country.
