power cut is a major problem in our place. i thin this is the right time that we should think of the alternate power resources like solar power for the generation of electricity. Also we should be very cautious in not wasting the power.

I hsve been wondering why until now, the world has not yet vastly tapped solar power as good source for our electricity and car propelling needs. Solar power is just right there for free day after day. I have read that people are taxed heavily if one harnesses solar energy to power the homes with its needs for electrical purposes. Another problem is, governments in various countries are not encouraging the people to use such energy source. There is a need for government support on this matter. Only government has the mechanism to fully inform the people on how to properly make use of solar power to the fullest.

Dear friend, I feel this would continue unles a better solution is found. Moreover I could see that there are other issues previous with Telecommunications but now when comeptitors arrived the government telephones had came with better results in most metro cities. Moroever I feel government should give this energy supply also to private parties, may be they could provide a better services. It is as if the public sector is not giving a better service and also not allowing the private sectors to give it to the public. May be the private sectors could provide cheaper alternatives for this crises...

Hi anil, I guess we will have more to come since it is not even summer! We too have frequent power cuts - around 3 hours a day which is not too bad but I hear that rural areas have 8 - 10 hours of power cut.It is all because of the closure of Reddy brothers' coal mines .I dont understand why the government takes over and runs it instead of making the whole state suffer...

Hi anil I have been suffering from this since the past One and a half years now and if I could use the proper words, I am feeling sick of this. I am really upset with all those who make tall claims that India is developed and developing as I see and experience the basic amenities are not available even in the State Capital forget about the rural interiors.\ and we claim developed and developing. Anyways, this is not to rant. I plan to get myself a small generator but going by the near monthly rises in prices of fuel, I do not thing this is going to be viable. How about an Inverter? But it too would need hours of regular supply to get charged on a daily basis. I have lost two clients, all my work on Internet due to the power cuts and failures. It hurts a lot especially when you are working from home only - all day and night.

It is never good to be having long hours of power outage. The problem escalates once it takes place daily. I have always at hand some huge candles and emergency lighting system to cope with the darkness if the outage happens in the evenings. As for your online jobs, you will have to cramp them all while, you have the electricity flowing well and alive in your place/s. You don't have any other choice but to cope with the situation at hand. If you cannot afford to lose time, then, it will be that generator which shall rescue you from that situation. Good luck.
