How much do people really exercise? How much do you? How much should we? I usually go for a 10 min walk every night and do 30 min of yoga in the morning. Some days, I do dance exercises for about 30 mins. Is this enough?

They are saying that we can do the exercise in increments of 10 minutes but I have heard we need atleast 30 minutes of exercise daily. That is to maintain weight I believe. More if you are trying to lose. I have heard walking is excellent. Core exercises is very important and keeping circulation going ofcourse.

THe more strenuous the more calories you will burn. Just depends on how soon you want to see a difference.

You are indeed doing very well, more than what I have been doing. My favorite exercise is jogging. When the weather is favorable, after I get back home from work, I would go out to the park near my house and go jogging for 30 minutes. That is very refreshing and relaxing. I do yoga too, especially on the days I cannot go out to the park.

I don't really do strenuous exercises though. I guess I should do that instead?

It sounds like you are doing well, but each person is different and so must set their own program with goals. Keep it up. Blessings

I think you are doing enough and make sure you are watching what you eat as well as drinking plenty of water. I use to exercise one hour a day for five days a week. But since lifting my metabolism and loosing way too much weight, I now only do 30 minutes a day 3 times a week.

I just want to keep my metabolism up and stay healthy. But I don't really do strenuous exercises unless it's the dance exercise.

hello, I think that is enough as long as you see changes in your health and you notice some changes in your body as well. I really want to involve some exercise in my time but I am so busy that I cant even handle my time because I am so tired doing some other stuff. So, maybe I will try it very soon. alright? You better continue it what you are doing right now because it will help you very well. So, continue doing that and i think it is enough for you.

Ok, I won't give up. I'll do it for you! I hope you get to do it soon too! But if you're running around maybe that is a some exercise replacement too. Take it easy!

It is recommended that you do at least 30 minutes of exercise each day, that's what my P.E teacher told me at school. But I do about an hour each day, I usually just jog, I just started Hip Hop dances today and I did about an hour. I have never sweated so much because today was such a hot day! So each day, I jog for an hour or at least half an hour if I don't have enough time or I have too much studying going on. So your exercise routine is fine but your exercises don't seem very strenuous. I reckon you have to do at least 30 minutes of strenuous exercise that really makes you sweat and really tired. But of course, you need a healthy diet too, you wouldn't want to seat it out on a treadmill and then help yourself to a big nice chocolate cake I tend to do that!

hi lore cannot resist asking where is data? bet you have been asked that a few times. forty minutes a day is pretty good bu t forty f ive is what a lot of doctors suggest. the idea is to get your heart rate up. I am sadly not exercising as I am having to use a walker and have got lazy. I should get outside and try waling up and down the sidewalk in front of our building., way back in February I had a bad fall, broke my nose and twisted my right knee so badly I co uld not bear to walk on that leg,. 20 days of physical therapy finally got me able to bear my weight on that leg. so now I do need to exercise again.dance exercises should really get your heart rate up and be fu n to do too. I should do about thirty minutes a day at my age of almost 85. we shall see as I am thinking about it. lol lol

Oh no, I hope you are better now! The exercises I've been doing.. I was worried that they're not enough to raise my heart rate... maybe I should swap it with more strenuous ones. Hmmm... You should try belly dancing or hula dancing.. they are not so hard on me but I do get a good workout when I try those. Good luck!

HI Lore I think the yoga and the dance is quite enough of an exercise unless you are shaping up your muscles like one of those WWF people. Normally, I prefer a lighter walk and that is all that I can have going by my ill health. The heavy exercises are now No for me and so the simple walking in the morning helps.

Hahha, no, I don't want to be a wrestler or anything.. just want to stay healthy.. actually, I can use a bit more energy. But I don't really do the strenuous kinds. Is that why I'm lethargic at times?
