Conscious about your body?

I love eating good and yummy foods. When I was younger (but not so young), I used to eat a lot of food. Sometimes after having a good dinner (that's with rice), I would then eat any instant noodles (with or without the soup). And I never actually gain weight. I was really thin before, without any bulge in the stomach. I wasn't even a teen at those times I was over 20. My metabolism at the time works really fast. But a year after I moved to another country, I realized that I started to gain weight. Every food I ate adds up to my weight. I sometimes had problems digesting the food too... probably my metabolism slows down... I remember that I took vitamins too because I was toooo thin on my first year in that country.. and stopped when someone noticed that I was gaining weight. I am not so thin as before, 'though I am also not so fat now. But I have little bulges in the stomach and every time I eat so much of what I suppose to eat, I feel getting heavy. I love to eat so much... but 'though I am not so self conscious about the weight thing, I still try to control my eating habits as I was the one who will still suffer from it. Like clothes that wont fit anymore, health problems in the future. Is aging one of the factor why I can't eat so much like before? Do you try to avoid eating so much too, especially older people...?

I don't really care abt weight, cos I can put on weight very fast and I can also lose weight very fast. So, I wldn't avoid eating much juz to maintain my weight, cos there's no need to. I eat as and when I want to, not only during mealtimes.

I was like that during college days and before working on a different country. But now I have to look after it coz if I wouldn't I would just be surprised one day that I am alredy fat and can't even wear my pants.

I understand...I don't think anyone wants to put on weight. It's gd to watch ur weight (for health's sake) but I don't think u shld overdo it.

definitely.. and I won't overdo it. I love eating so much and it makes me forget to watch my weight most of the time. It's my mom who sometimes stop me from eating.

Yeah unfortunately as we get older, our metabolism gets slower. Life is short, enjoy it, don't worry about your weight so much. As we get older, we get fatter there's no avoiding it. Take it easy and don't stress over it, being healthy is important, but its also unhealthy to not eat because of wanting to lose weight.

Hey jokerzhunter don't worry I don't stress myself much about it. Because I do LOVE foods! ^^ I eat everything as long as I still can eat it. I just missed how I can eat a lot... coz now I get so full easily, and I can't eat more even if i still wanna eat... and those amount of foods adds up to my weight.

I think it mat be the different climate in the new country you are in. Our body reacts to climate also. Also, the food items you are having in the new country also could have made this

Indeed! But I am already back in my country again, and I wasn't able to go back to that shape again. Nevertheless, I am happy that I am not so thin as before. But I still have to watch my weight, I love foods and I eat everything I wanted I control it with rice sometimes.

Eating is the most delicious part of life, so we don't have to avoid our self eating and get starve. We just need to avoid eating food that are that will affect our health, like avoiding cholesterol foods.They say we are what we eat. If you think that you're experiencing a slow metabolism and you notice that you are getting fat fast. I will suggest that you should start having a active lifestyle. Put yourself into a outdoor activities, gym, sports anything that will make you sweat while having fun, will work. Or simply a 30 minutes exercise in your home will help.

I think you said it well. I am not having much of an exercise these days, most of the time I am just in front of the laptop, and doesn't sweat much. Unlike when I was working in a company in my country which is a bit far from my place, going to my workplace means I need to walk a lot getting there and leaving the office. Even if I eat much those days, I feel that I don't really gain weight much. While my work outside the country only takes a walk out the door and few steps on the street where a car is waiting to pick me up and take me to the office. then sit all day at the office which makes me gain so much weight.

I think that everybody should be conscious about their body, because we only ever get one body and it is very important that we look after it to the best of their ability. I used to be very overweight, but then came to the conclusion that it wasn't good for my body at all and, as a result of this, I chose to start losing weight. That was this time last year, and I have now lost almost five stones during that time. I am proud of myself, and never imagined that I would be able to achieve the amount that I have done in the past year.

Wow that's inspiring! There are very few people I know that can really motivate themselves on putting down their weight. One of my brother actually have a big stomach and he is having a hard time losing it. He had tried the gym before but when he stopped his previous big built came back and I guess more weight has been added. Now he has taken a new membership to somehow lessen his weight and maybe cut off his fats. It is really not good to be overweight coz we never know what we will get from it in the future. It's not good for our health.

In my case I am 20 then i am experiencing also not gaining weight yup i have faster metabolism also. I wish i could gain weight as other but since its not healthy when you are too much fat also. Its difficult also to reduce the weight and your figure be back again as before.Maybe its just a matter of being balnce at work, food and exercise as well.
