I enjoy baking and making goodies for my husband and to take over to our children's homes. What type of desserts are your favorites to make. Our kids favorite is brownies (the grandchildren love these too. For us I love to make anything with apples in it. Such as apple pie, apple slab, apple coffee cake, baked apples, etc.

I love to bake and make delicious sweet treats. During weekends or if I have free time I would make some brownies, cupcakes, pineapple upside down cake, creme caramel and croissants. Its very uplifting and rewarding for me after the baked goods are done and my family would say "mmm... this is delicous, mind if i have more".

Hi Pepai, I agree it is so uplifting and rewarding when you see the smiles on your families faces, and see the goodies disappear before your eyes. It is always nice to hear how much they enjoy them. Years ago I use to bake like you. I would make sweet rolls, kolaches, dinner rolls, bread, cookies, brownies, cakes, quick breads and so much more. Since the kids are grown, I have gotten away from baking so much for just myself and my husband. I still will bake up a bunch of things when I know we are going to visit the kids, and take some goodies to them. Have a nice day

I have never had Indian desserts. I will have to look up some recipes for the Kheer and see what ingredients are in it. I enjoy the no bake items as well.

Dearest Mary, anything with apple in it just good for me as well. I love making and eating vanilla custard with lots of apples and fruits with it. Another favorite of mine is chocolate pudding. I do not mind them any time. I do not quite like eating apples as a fruit though. However, it is lot of fun eating the fruit with custards, pie, cakes, etc.

I am not passionate about cooking or baking at all so I am very thankful that my nine year old is! She is a very good little baker; she made a beautiful chocolate mud cake with chocolate icing which she topped up with fresh strawberries and mini marshmallows just two days ago. My girl is a little chocolate addict so I have to say that her yummy mud cake would have to be the whole family’s favourite!

Hi Paula, Sound like your little 9 year old is going to be quite the baker. To do all that on her own at that age is great. Her mud cake sounds delicious. Anything with chocolate is so good. Have a nice day.

Me too I love baking especially brownies stuffed with many peanuts. But this year my favorite dessert is Cassava cake which can be bake or steam. I really like preparing the ingredients from grating the cassava to squeezing the coconut to get the milk. I preferred to cook this under the steamer because the banana leaves that cover the cassava filling adds to the flavor. There's a lot of preparation but it really worth the taste.

Brownies are definitely a favorite around here, we always have to make a batch when we go visit our son and his family. The grand children can't wait to see if we brought brownies. Your Cassava sounds delicous. I don't know what Cassava is. It sounds good being that it has banana leaves covering it and is steamed. The recipes that have the most preparation are so well worth the wait. And after making them so many times, we learn to create short cuts in the preparation. Have a nice day Rixma.

I looooove mango float and so does everyone that I know. If you can buy some sweet ripe mangos at your home, maybe you should try making this one. This one is very easy to make, you only have to layer the ingredients... just search it on the net. There are no regrets on trying this dessert. :D
