Teleperformance's Telstra Account

I've been with another Telstra account before I applied with this call center, so, I'm hoping that my salary will be a bit higher than the usual offer. To my disappointment, I was only given the same salary as a newbie and I wasn't even allowed to haggle. Because I want a dayshift account near our home, I accepted the offer with a heavy heart, but from that day on, I knew that I will not be there for long. I've read a TREMENDOUS amount of negative feedback about TP so I told myself, let me check what the fuss is all about, after all, it may not happen to me. But TP just proves me wrong. First up, the people. I hate smart a$$ people who think they knew everything and those are the exact people that I've met there. Usually these people are rare in other call centers that I've been with, but in TP, there are an abundance of smart a$$ people that is including but not limited to - OM, TL and agent alike. Next up, the environment. For a relatively low paying center, the environment there was very competitive. It was like competing for every cent that they will get. Competition was tough even during training; imagine, even during cultural training, agents are trying to compete with their fellow agents for about almost anything - presentations, product knowledge etc. Since I already knew the product, I was given the moniker "SME" or Subject Matter Expert by some of my fellow trainee. So, if you are planning on applying in this company, do yourself a favor- DON"T DO IT! Have you been in this call center? What can you say about them?

If you have any problem with this company why not go directly to the HR office and convey your complains. I can see you started topic about call centers..it's not good to spread humors about call center companies..

These aren't "rumors", if that's what you mean. These are my personal experience with that company. Rumors are unconfirmed information whereas I got these information from being an eye witness or in a first person's perspective. I'm not bad mouthing all the call centers, if you can read the other threads, I'm being fair- I am telling the pros and cons in being with that center so that potential applicants can decide for themselves. It's just unfortunate that I cannot say anything positive about this particular call center.

Honestly I have read the same complaint as yours in pinoyexchange forum regarding the TP and someone even posted that if you are an applicant and you didn't pass it then be thankful it is because of what is happening over there. I applied last November 30 but since I wasn't able to pass the exam then I have to retake it on the next day. So I did. I was able to pass the initial interview but not the final interview since the interviewer told me that I must have experience in MMORPG. So I have to get back on January 1 to re apply and repeat the whole process again. After that since I knew it that I wasn't able to make it I applied for graphic design associates. So the process is already different. But guess what? I was able to see the evaluation of my interviewers regarding my application since it was only stapled on my resume. It also says that I am a POSER? which indeed it makes me feel offended regarding this matter. So what does it mean? I've been pretender when I talked to them?
