Ever since I had my gull bladder out back in 1998 I have had nothing but bad stomach problems. It's been over ten years and now I found out I have acid reflux. The doctor put me on these really expensive pills called "Nexium" (ever hear of them?) They seem to be the only thing that helps. He had me on Renidine (I think I spelled that incorrectly) but it's the perscription form of Zantac for stomach acid. All that did was give my arms, hands and nose tingling sensations so it wasn't working. With Nexium, I only take the pill once a day and it lasts for 24 hours, and takes the symptoms of acid reflux away. Do you have acid reflux? If so are you on medication for it or just try to settle with it another ways as in home remedies?

Oh God! I too keep having stomach problems and I am really fed up of it. The doctor gives just some medicines for immediate cure or I just fast for half a day and it gets better. I never heard of such a disease. Maybe I should get myself checked thoroughly!

Fasting for half a day is probably good for all of us. I have stomach problems when eating foods that are too rich, but that just helps me avoid food that isn't good for me.

I'm strongly considering not consuming any food or drink all morning.. everyday because I'm afraid of these attacks comjing on. So the idea of fasting sounds great! The doctor put me on Nexium and they are so expensive which makes me mad! I'm going to see him on Thursday to update him on how I"m doing with these pills and he might get me set up for a scope where he needs to check my stomach for a hyatis hernia. So let the fun begin! NOT! I think you should go get checked out and hopefully your doctor can help you!

You know what is the most horrifying thing these days? SEEING A DOCTOR!! At least here in India, all are of the same opinion. They just prescribe you loads of things, whether that is really required or not is immaterial to them! They spend a lot on their education and so, when they start earning, they retort to mean ways. I really get disgusted when I've to meet them. Fasting really helps. There is an old saying in Samskrit language: fasting is the ultimate medicine! But I don't prefer to fast in the morning as you said. Because we need to work for the whole day and we need energy.

I went to the doctor today and he gave me lots of pills called Nexium. This was on the house lol. It will last me a month plus he sent in a form called EDS. EDS is for those who can't afford the medication to be as much as it is. So it's going to give me 80% coverage which is wonderful. Nexium has worked the best so far but if I ever can't afford it then I will try what you are taking.
