Although I do not start many and they can be far and in between from one another. I have received anywhere from 30 - 40 - 100 responses. 
It can vary from time to time. I do allow them to run for sometime before I do resolve them. This allows anyone who perhaps has not been around to respond to it when they return.
I have a great many interests myself and at times I see a lot of people and life categories, that tend to grasp a great deal of interests amongst many.

Respond to others discussions a bit more frequently and that will get them to remember your useful type responses and be more apt to respond to yours. This was told to me early in my membership here and have seen it happen for me and others. Best of luck, but if you are getting up to 20 from a great many of yours, sounds like you are doing a good job with them.

hi amelly everyone to his own tastes. I like to make discussions about things that have happened in my own life and have had some
amazing responses like 40 or 50 or more. I try to think of things that we all have in common and then write about them. I get responses.
