Do you mean 7-Up or Shasta or some-other what-they-call 'carbonated' drink? I'd change that promise to 'never buy water-with-gas ALL BY MYSELF!' It might be kinda FUN to make a mess (AND to clean it up) with someone close to you. Really, all you have to remember is to open it SLOWLY; that way you can close it up fast if it starts to bubble-up while you're opening it

First off, it's carbonated water better known as seltzer. I know that whenever you buy a carbonated drink, when it's warm it could have that tendency to spray all over, also if it is shaken up. The best thing to to is to go to the sink, open it up slowly, letting some of the gas out, then when it settles down finish opening it. I have had that happen to me and it is a mess.

Hello Sexy! Yikes that had to be one mess. Yes it has happened to me a couple times after dropping it and that caused it to spill all over the table and floor. Also soaking me too. Anytime I have dropped one, what I do is that I will slowly open and close the top over the sink so that the gas escapes slowly and it does not sill everywhere. A little will but if I do it very slowly, opening and closing usually it does not cause for the sticky mess.

sexyice...I have had my share of times the bottle overflowed after opening...sometimes it's from dropping the bottle. I have switched to plain water because it is good for me but I still like diet cokes....I jut can't shake the cans or bottles up

Once one of my friend, he held one bottle of Coke in his hand and kept shaking it all the way when we go to climb mountains. After we arrived the destination, he felt thirsty and open it. Then all the bubbles together with the coke jumped out of the bottle and made him wet to the skin. I adivse you, before you open one bottle of drink with gas, do not shake it or drop it, then no need to worry it bursting everywhere anymore.
