Have you ever been to the forest alone? I am currently watching movie (no idea with the title yet) A lady in the forest alone searching for some thing to captivate her suddenly bite by snake. So scary, Blood flashing down her leg. Luckily somebody rescued her. Sometimes having an adventure is not so cool. I'll never go to the forest alone where i know exactly that my life would be in danger. I'd rather stay at home safe. You, would you opt to do the same just for the sake of venture?

So the only reason why the forest is scaring is because she is bitten by a snake? But you don't mind to be grabbed bij a bear? I understand you stay at home for the rest of you life? Do you know that most accidents happen at home? Hope you have someone who can rescue you then. Airplane is dangerous, outside on the street is dangerous, at work can be dangerous, a party can or going out just for fun. Do you know that there are people who keep certain animals as a pet? What if they break out and hide in your house? Or what if you walk over the street and a dog grabs you or let's make a pitbull out of that dog? I think if you go out, no matter where it is, you should be aware of what might happen. If it's the forest you can get enough information about how to behave yourself, what to do or not to do. You can take your flashlight, first aid kit, dog and cellphone with you. I am sure that is completely different from what you saw in the movie and I find it amazing you see that as the only truth (forest = dangerous) there is. if

Hi Wakeupkitty, I believe you danger is everywhere, so we better be careful in every actions we'll make no matter where we are. Just feel bad on what I saw in the movie :) Maybe because of the snake, i hate snake! I dont like snake!

I definitely respect and appreciate the beauty of nature. I enjoy watching survivor 101 shows, but I dont think I have the guts to go into a forest alone. I wouldnt know what to do if I'd get lost.

I don't like to go very many places alone, but definitely not into a forest alone. In our local state park there is a nice trail we used to go hike on with our kids. The last time we went we stopped off on this little side trail that has a waterfall and people stop and sit and swim etc. As we were leaving my husband saw what he is pretty sure was a copperhead snake under some rocks where people were just sitting and our kids were climbing on. Needless to say we got out of there and the whole way back down the trail I was tense worrying the kids would come up on a snake on the trail.

I used to LOVE to hang out alone in the forest. It is the only way that I could feel safe and be protected from the evil, hurtful things in the city. Sure, there are dangers sometimes. But, I would rather have an unexpected encounter with a wild animal than to deal with a mugger on the streets of New York.

I love to hike through the forest, there is only one kind of poisonous snake here (the adder) and it usually slithers away rather than fight you, in any case its bite is not usually fatal. You can find lots of good things to eat in the woods and the only time I was a little afraid, was when I found some voodoo stuff (wax effigy and chicken bones and feathers) hanging from a tree.I don't know who put that there because there is no history of voodoo religion in our country......
