I think there is not much people from Kerala, India, in this mylot. Even though there are some keralite, they are not starting any discussion about keral. I think many interest group representing various state in India is going in the same manner. Today i found a group named Kerala under places i lived, if this was not here, i was supposed to start new group. Do you wish to discuss here in my lot about the kerala matters? I would like to have discussion about the issues in kerala if there are much members in this interest group.

when I was yound ppl said that there are keralites all over the world so much so that when neil armstrong landed on moon he heard "chaaya chaaya " :):) Also the bonding of Keralites is supposed to be very strong like the bengalis and here after so many years it is right again that you want to group all keralites and discuss all about kerala ! It is good it its own way but most of my friends are so Keral-centric that I feel they consider India as a neighbouring country to God's Country :):)

That is very true; you can watch people from Kerala all over the world. Once I have seen a cartoon in one magazine, a group of people are reaching a planet for the first time, but when they reach there, there saw a ‘tea-shop’ run by a Keralite, ha ha I had good laugh on that day.

As you found, I am from kochi and would like to discuss about kerala topics. petrol, prics, womns security etc; you know it is real dangerous for women to travel alone here, how is it in trivandrum , not so much of a problm I think because people are very devoted, go to temples, tv centres are there etc; anyway it would be nice to start a kerala group. I also made my sis in law join, she also lives in kochi. chandranil poyalum malayalee undavum, hee hee

Nice to meetyou here. Its not such a big difference in kochi and trivandrum. Devote people are devotees every where. Surely tv channels are more, so small things also become big news. And all political hands and fight happen here as tip is the capital. So sometime that make the life miserable here. Mylotil oru chayakada koodi thudagam ayirunnu.,

Though, I am from Tamil Nadu, my wife and mother are from Kerala. So in that sense I am pretty much connected with Kerala. It is a real beautiful place to visit. But of course the people there are a different proposition. :) As the saying goes, God's own country and Devil's own people :). Jokes apart, it is one of my favorite vacation destination. Cheers! Ram

Hello Venkit, You can count me too. I am from Kerala but at present living in the capital of India. I have not started discussions about Kerala but you can find that I am always mentioning something or other in my discussions, either in responses or in my own comments to my participants. It is my pleasure to discuss the great things about Kerala and I am proud on the same. However, I am not interested in the politics.

Hi Venkit, Yes I am a Keralite , lives in Bangalore , as I am working here. I love Kerala than any other place in India. I have seen many told bad things about Kerala politics. All have a bad conception about political parties just because of to many bandh happens at out place. But when petrol price was hiked like its meter, no one responded except Kerala. Just imagine , if whole of country had responded , may it would have come down. Also it a great thing to see Govt is sitting on a majority of 4 and no one is indulged in horse trading like other states. This happens only in Kerala. Only one thing i dont like is the hot climate. Less corrupted state. Literacy. Highest no of educated employees out side the state and country...the list goes on right ?
