I'm from England and have seen the fixtures at London over the last few years become a huge event and it can only be good for the NFL and it's exposure over the world. I'm not that much of a fan of American Football but I certainly know about the build up to the Wembley game.

Am I correct? American Football will Never be as huge as regular football/ soccer?

That's certainly true. Soccer is huge all around the world but American Football is obviously huge in America but not all around the world quite like Soccer.

But the commissioner of the NfL thinks he can make football as huge as Soccer. Wrong!

I am not sure if the timing is great. England is still hurting from being thrown out of the Rugby world cup in the quarters. Rugby is quite similar to American football, only that there are no helmets or protective gear in it. The fact that they lost and Wales went through might be hurting them more. :) Also, this Sunday is the top of the league clash in English soccer, the Manchester Derby between Man U and Man City. Having said this, I do not think this tour will have been planned if the ticket sales were not good, so I do think there will still be a full house to greet the Yankees. Cheers! Ram

The world cup of Rugby happens once in 4 years. So England would have to wait at least another 4 years. Today was the final of the Rugby world cup and it was won by New Zealand in a thrilling 8-7 victory over France. Cheers! Ram

I think there would still be a lot of people who are interested in the NFL going to Europe based on the void that NFL Europe left behind. And I think that from what I saw yesterday (highlights), there were a lot of people there too! I'm just glad to hear that the Bucs made a game out of it in the 4th quarter. Made it worth it for the people that came.
