In this gentle drama from director Mimi Leder, young Trevor McKinney (Haley Joel Osment) responds to a school assignment with a plan to help three people who will, in turn, help three more, and so on, in an ever-widening circle. But Trevor touches more people than he expected, including his abused mother (Helen Hunt), his physically and emotionally scarred teacher (Kevin Spacey) and a journalist (Jay Mohr) who's investigating the plan. -Netflix OMG the ending of this movie was soooooooooo sad. But it was such a good movie and it had very good actors in it. I really llike the idea to, because if you think about it, if on person helped 3 people and each of those people helped 3 people right there thats 12 people! It adds up so quick and most people think that one person can make a diffrence but that is sooo untrue. Haley Joel Osment who plays the young boy in this movie has also been in A.I. and I really enjoyed him in this movie too, I think they chose a good kid to play the part.

I thought it was okay. The only reason I like it is because it was filmed in my hometown, at a local high school and one of my favourite scene partners at the acting school I went to was in the gang that bullied the boy.

This is one of my favorite movies! Haley Joel Osment is brilliant in his role of Trevor. Every time I watch this movie, I cry. The ending never ceases to pull on my heartstrings... It truly is an amazing message and one I try to live by every day of my life!

This is the movie I tend to put on when ever the world has got me down and I think everything sucks. It conveys such a simple and beautiful idea that it gives me the lift I need to feel a little more positive. Now as for the ending, well for me there are two endings the sad one which I know you are on about and I defy anyone to watch this movie and not shed a tear as to what happens. And for me it is one of the most unexpected twists I have seen in a movie. But then it strings this ending out too far and in effect delivers a second ending, a very manufactured emotional one where we see how far reaching Trevor’s idea has reached. It sadly spoils that initial emotional impact, a very natural one and replaces it with a forced one. Despite this it still is a brilliant movie and one which you never forget when you’ve see it.

Yes I don't think I will be forgetting this movie anytime soon. I thought it was really neat how everyone tied in together at the end, showing how far the idea had spread. But I totally agree that him dying at the end was completely unexpected and it really made an impact.

I loved it, thought the climax is sad. There is a lot of positive in the movie. I loved the kid and kevin's characterizations :). Did you cry after watching the climax?

OMG...that movie was awesome! And such a tear jerker too. I loved the cast and Haley Joel was so adoreable. I watched that one over and over again. And your right about the message in the movie, if more people would help out, a few people at a time, then little by little the world would be such a better place!
