I have only recently begun to hear of social bookmarking sites like digg and del.icous and a few others. They have been suggested to me to promote some of my freelancing writings mostly from mylotters as well as persons on the writing sites. I do not undertand what social bookmarking sites are. I have searched them. What is their purpose? They look like another blogging site or freelance writing site. How would I use them to promote my freelance writing on other sites like Triond and Associated Content? Which ones are you on?

I have account in digg and delicious. However, my digg account is more like an account to do some online tasks which can give me extra earning. I keep my bookmarks in delicious account. Unfortunately it seems that delicious website become to be unstable for me to access to it. I wish delicious website was not sold to a wrong company and they seem not to be able to run it well. I love China

If you check the tasks in Mylot. Sometimes you will find the tasks about digg. If you dig it, you will earn few cents.

I love that someone living in China responded to my discussion. Thank you for doing so. I have joined digg as well as delicious. I have uploaded some of my Associated Content articles to both of these sites. I did not know that you can earn money on digg. Can you tell me anything more about earning on digg? I am new to delicious so I know nothing about any problems. I just joined it yesterday.

social bookmarking sites are websites where you can share your content or url/link. These kinds of sites are great if you want to know and find good information or share your own information fast to hundreds of people.

I joined stumble upon and digg. Squidoo has a share button to stumble upon and that made it oh, so easy. But I have not yet earned one cent on Squidoo. I have my most success with Associated Content but I do not find a share button on AC. Is there one? Are you with social bookmarking sites? if so, which ones?

you can just manually add your AC link on those social bookmarking sites than looking for a share button. social bookmarking sites are structured so you would need to "put in time" before your links will get good traffic. I don't usually use them unless I have a new site that I want to get index fast or a new page that I deemed worth it to share(based on content and SEO). I use a lot of bookmarking sites and not just a few. You can try socialposter to make posting on social bookmarking sites easier or use an automated bookmarking software.

I am not all that tech savvy. This sounds all so confusing for me and so time consuming.
