Well, I took my daughter and 3 of my 4 grandkids to a local parks Halloween party. this past Saturday. They had trails with semi scary stuff. Some trails were lit up with carved pumpkins. I think they said 500 plus were carved etc for the trails. They had bonfires scattered around. Bingo tent which the grandkids loved. Also they had an area set up with a DJ and lights for dancing. They had a costume contest as well. My lil' Savanna won 1st place for 3 and under. Doesn't she look sooo cute as Ragedy Ann? What's your kids/grandkids dressing up as this year? We saw so many preteens and teens done up in various Lady Gaga outfits. Seemed to be the most popular costumme for the 11 to 15 year olds there. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Savanna is and has always been a first place beauty but Yes she does look terrific and how nice she did so well. As I said in my comments under photos she does suit the wig lol. I honestly don't know what my grandchildren are going to dress as I haven't seen or heard from them since Thanksgiving. Take Care.

1st Place - Savanna with her winnings.
What's really cute is when we went to get Grandma from work she told grandma she won the pageant. LOL! She won 4 giant Pixie Stix. Here she is smiling with her winnings. And Moms holding her too. LOL! What a shame you've not seen nor heard from them for so long. I'd be so sad and or mad actually. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I went to one of those at the zoo once. It is fun. I love the carved pumpkins. I do not know what the grands will be doing, only know that my daughter is making the costumes. Last year Lahna Mae was "Super Mae" a purple and green super hero, and Hallie was a lady bug.

That is somewhat scary that so many young girls want to be Lady Gaga. Congratulations to your granddaughter. Yay!

That sounds like so much fun. They don't do things like that around here. The closest thing they do is at the mall they have trick or treating and a costume contest. My little granddaughter is going as Ariel....

Bummer. I think it was called Pumpkin In The Park. It was at Springbrook Nature Center. Channels 5 and 9 did stories about it Thursday night. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Sweet! Halloween is only just becoming popular in Australia ... I notice the shops are full of merchandise these days - but I doubt many parents would be allowing their little kids to doorknock without supervision, what with the Stranger Danger messages. Bonfires are fun - used to love them when I was a kid. Unfortunately, we have total fire bans here, and that wouldn't be allowed. Fireworks aren't, either - boo hoo! x

Oh she look adorable and Congrats on her winning! Sounds like she had a great deal of fun. Mine are grown so they won't be entering any contests, that I am aware of. But I remember those days and it was even more fun for me to come along. I answered the other discussion first and now I see where the cute Ragegay Ann wig came from. lol Seems like you all had a really great time.
