I am not sure who has the problem, if it is my hair or the shampoos sold in the market. When I was young I have a silky and smooth hair but now my hair is so thick and dull. Before I love Rejoice shampoo because your hair feels very silky and smooth. But , I think now, rejoice also has change. What is the best brand of shampoo that one should try. Shampoo commercials are so convincing but I think they just make my hair even worse. Is it really bad to shampoo our hair everyday? Which brand is the best?

I think some shampoos do that, the kind with detergent in them especially. I would either make my own shampoos or use baby shampoo which is gentle and made for babies so how can it be harmful for adults? :-) I prefer not to use baby shampoo though cause it just doesn't work well with my hair. I love the brand Pantene but it can be expensive so I often don't use it anymore.

Some shampoos really are terrible for your hair. I think it is a matter of finding one that works for you. I thought Pantene was a great shampoo for a long time. I went to a stylist that told me it was terrible for my hair. She told me that it was put on a wood floor and it actually eat the finish off of it! I use Herbal Essence now and when I tell the stylist what I use..she still tries to sell me the expensive stuff but she never says what I'm using is bad for my hair like before.

I always use shampoo everyday and my hair is still as straight as ever though I use conditioner every other day. I use Sunsilk since Rejoice and other brands tend to get my hair really dry. I read somewhere that if you really want to take care of your hair without using harsh chemicals and ingredients, it's best to use baby shampoos

Hi averygirl72! I use shampoo every day but I always dilute it in water so it will not be as strong as it should be. I guess that is one reason my hair is not so dry. I also use conditioner whenever we have stock at home. For the brand,I think that depends on your hair. There are some brands that my hair does not approve of even though others highly praise the product. The thing is you should find the brand that suits your hair. I use either Rejoice, Head and Shoulders or Sunsilk.

Lots of factors can make your hair dry. Age is the one you can't control. Look for shampoos intended for dry hair. I had a stylist tell me that Herbal Essences is very drying. And shampoo every other day if possible or use a dry shampoo every other day. I use a lot of styling products so not shampooing every day isn't really an option for me, nor is the dry shampoo. If you have a lot of chlorine in your water, you might try Ultra Swim. If you use heat styling tools try a leave in conditioner and/or a thermal protectant. I hope some of this helps. :D

Me too feel that my hair when I was younger is much better than I have now. It seems that I have a serious hair loss or my hair getting thin nowadays. That is why I feel like my hair is getting less day after day. This got something to do with the shampoos I used for sure. Even if I have my own favorite shampoo but since we got a stock of shampoo in the cupboard so I think it is better for me to finish what we have at home first before I get the new one the favorite for myself. So right now I am using any shampoo we have and that is why I can feel different result from different shampoo I used. I admit that some of them makes my hair dry and there are even some which are good for my hair. The bad news is they keep changing the formula so the one that I like years ago will not be the same even if they come from the same brand. You need to try other shampoo and find the best that suit with your hair. I can't tell which one is the best brand as we might not have the same type of hair. I don't wash my hair everyday with shampoo as I just applied it once in two days. If you willing to wash your hair everyday make sure you apply some conditioner after that to moisturized your hair.(^^)

i think it depends on your hair type and the scalp as well. It's a matter of finding the right shampoo for your hair and pouring just the right amount. Too much shampoo has some tendency to dry your hair.

Hi averygirl that was my problem before until I use a lot of conditioner in every wash of my hair and leave it on for 5 minutes but usually this will be the last that I washed before I go out of the bathroom. I hope it helps you!
